Let's take a similar case: Magicka Collection.

Not sure about King Arthur, but this looks similar. What DLCs does it miss? Did you contact support?!

Yes, a Magicka "Collection" would consist of all the DLC that was available at the time the collection was purchased. With the amount of DLC that has been released for the game (and which continues to be released for it), it wouldn't be practical to have separate entries for every incarnation of the collection. It would also be potentially confusing from SteamGift's side.
Dungeon Defenders offered a similar Collection which was updated when new DLC was released.

King Arthur Collection is in the same boat. There have been 4 different ones in the Steam Store over the years, but none of them had the same composition as this one (missing the KA1 DLCs) if you guys are right. I don't know if it's actually missing those DLC though.

I picked up the Indie Colossus bundle for it.
Steam's shop pages don't have big green "You already own..." bar when I look at the DLC pages.
To make matters more confusing, King Arthur 1 from this bundle displays in the library as "King Arthur Collection", instead of "King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame" (or whatever its real name lists as.) It doesn't link to a proper store page, though. Clicking on "Store Page" just takes you to Steam's front page. I don't know why/how they messed that up. Both Fallen Champions and KA2 have their proper names and link to their proper store pages. For some reason, they seemed to make a redundant and only partially complete listing for KA1 for this bundle...
EDIT: I'm not entirely sure Steam realizes KA1 in the bundle is KA1? Looking at the DLC pages in the store includes an orange notice box saying that you need the base game (in addition to the regular purple box), and "King Arthur Collection" Properties window in the Library doesn't have a DLC tab. (Don't games with DLC have a DLC tab even if you haven't bought any DLC for them?)

The way that this game is set up on the Steam store is confusing because King Arthur and King Arthur Collection are two totally separate items. It's set up that way intentionally.

And now I have King Arthur, King Arthur II and King Arthur Collection.

One thing Collection doesn't have is a Steam page.
The Indie Gala offering is "King Arthur: Collection", which currently has no Steam store page. Maybe it had one once, but it is gone now.
What Steam has is "King Arthur Collection", which is simply a bundle of all the King Arthur games and DLC. It looks like Steam no longer offers the combined KA1 "King Arthur: Collection", leaving it as some kind of unlisted legacy item?
Comment has been collapsed.
I actually bought the KA1 Collection from Steam when it was on sale. Sometime after that they removed it from the store for some unknown reason. Even though it is unlisted now you can still get keys for it.
Comment has been collapsed.
didn't know about the seperate keys. In that case, I argue the opposite. I thought it would be a single key.
Comment has been collapsed.
I may be wrong, but I think it's missing 4 DLCs from the KAC being sold on Steam: Knights and Vassals, Legendary Artifacts, The Druids and The Saxons.
Plus, the Magicka Collection business was because the different places selling it had the whole package under a single key, was it not? That doesn't seem to be the case here.
Edit: was ninja'd a bit
Second edit: well, ignore what I said lulz
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, it is the first game, the first game's stand-alone expansion, the second game, and the second game's DLC.
It does not include the other four King Arthur 1 DLC, which is included in Steam's King Arthur Collection.
Hrm, one of those KA1 DLCs is a bit weird, itself. It looks like you cannot get The Saxons on its own. The Saxons DLC that Steam offers is actually a bundle that contains Saxons and two other KA1 DLCs that are also sold separately. So if you want all four KA1 DLCs, you really only need to buy The Saxons and The Druids, since the other two come free with The Saxons.

Same problem of that Krater DLC from a previous bundle. Misleading giveaways are quite frequent around here.
Comment has been collapsed.
On this problem it just came from people bad habit of not reading. There was a key for Krater, and anotehr for the Cerebro DLC.
Not a single key nor anything named collection.

i got it from indie gala, it was supposed to be ---
KA the rpg wargame + all the DLCs ---
KA fallen champion ---
KA2 the rpg wargame + DLC
what i got was ---
KA: Collection ---
KA fallen champion ---
KA2 the rpg wargame + DLC
the problem is..i need to download to be sure its the same game with the dlcs...the "collection" have no store or comunity page...and when i check the KA rpg wargame and the dlc store pages it says i dont own then
Comment has been collapsed.
The one on indiegala doesn't say you get all the DLCs. It says you get one DLC.
Comment has been collapsed.
But I wonder how many GA makers (other than you) are doing this? And how many winners care about this? "Bah, it's only missing a few DLCs, marked as received!"
Comment has been collapsed.
No, you aren't supposed to get the DLC with the one bought of indiegala.

Apparently support has stated since it's the "same bundle" that has just been updated, they see no reason to modify it. Use the same one, be sure to list the correct contents and enjoy the extra contribution value.
If they're given out as separate keys, then they should be delivered separately in my opinion. I didn't purchase this bundle so I'm not sure how they come.

They're given as a single key, so looks like the collection should be put on the bundle list.

My King Arthur Collection, King Arthur II properties
It includes dead legions...
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm thinking it might be the full everything.
I had previously in my Library entries on Steam...
After activating the Indie Gala key (one key activates the "King Arthur Collection (March 2012)"), I have the following new three entries in my Steam Library...
I still have the original King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame entry in addition to those three.
If I visit the Store Page for the King Arthur II: Dead Legions DLC, it tells me I already own it.
For the King Arthur I DLC (any of the four), it does not say I own it already, but I suspect the "King Arthur: Collection" means it's there. Attempting to visit the Store Page from the "King Arthur: Collection" library entry redirects to the Steam Store main page, much like other games where there's no specific page for the exact thing you have.
Just need to actually install "Collection" and see if it has the four DLC packs already in it. I can't see any other reason for it to have a separate entry than the regular base game's entry though.
Comment has been collapsed.
Are you referring to the extra tile or the lack of picture for KA: Collection? Perhaps you already owned King Arthur? You can contact Steam support to remove the duplicate if it bothers you.
If you mean the lack of a grid picture for the collection, I am also missing that, but you can set a custom image for that, perhaps using the image you have for the old KA base game.
Edit: Try this image.

tl;dr - If the appid of King Arthur Collection is 24470 then it does contain all of the DLC for the original King Arthur game.
I should just keep this on copy and paste since everytime this game appears anywhere it creates mass confusion.
King Arthur base game + DLC has a different appid than King Arthur Collection which is the base game + DLC combined so they'll have separate entries.
There are four DLC for the first game and you receive The Druids DLC and The Saxons DLC in the Collection. The Saxons DLC should also includes Knights and Vassals DLC and Legendary Artifacts DLC so in the end, you should have all four DLC. You can see the box for the Collection which states it includes the Druids and Saxon DLC and this post goes in depth showing that all the DLC is included. I know the two links refer to the Amazon key, but you can go to the community hub for King Arthur Collection and verify that it is the same appid of 24470.
Comment has been collapsed.
so to confirm Peroxide.. the IndieGala Colossus unlock of King Arthur Collection IS IS IS all the DLC for the first game. So it`s the complete collection ?
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm not totally sure what the other games you get from the Indie Gala are. If you received King Arthur Collection (24470) along with King Arthur 2 + Dead Legions DLC and King Arthur: Fallen Champions then yes, that is the entire King Arthur Collection on Steam.
Comment has been collapsed.
It isn't really a Google/forum issue.
Indie Gala describes it as "King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame", not as King Arthur Collection. Indie Gala makes no mention of the various DLCs being included for KA1, while it does specifically mention the DLC for KA2.
Making matters worse, the game registers on Steam as "King Arthur Collection", not as "King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame" and its DLC. As far as Steam is concerned, if you own Indie Gala's "King Arthur Collection", then you don't actually own King Arthur: The Role-Playing Game or any of its DLC. "Collection" is a completely separate game entry, one that doesn't have a store page and which doesn't have a DLC tab at all.
It's a mess caused by either Steam or Indie Gala (for the bad handling of the collection) and exacerbated by Indie Gala (which makes no mention of getting the Collection version of KA1 or getting KA1's DLC.)
Comment has been collapsed.
If you're subscribed to the e-mails then you would have received this which states King Arthur Collection. Regardless, it's still an issue of not investigating as when you activate it, it clearly states King Arthur Collection and if you had checked the forums for that game you would have seen that one of only three threads clearly points out that all four DLC were included.
There are other games that have separate appid for the base game + DLC and GOTY versions. I believe it's actually the developer or publisher's choice as some games are like that and others aren't.
Just for a little icing on the cake, take a look at the subid of 13921 for the full King Arthur Collection on Steam which includes everything. You will see that it doesn't give you the King Arthur base game + DLC, but actually the King Arthur Collection with appid 24470 which is the exact one included in the Indie Gala.

The argument in the past has been that if you don't mark the parts, people will make giveaways under the name of one of the parts.
For some giving away the game, they'd rather have $10 of "real" game added to their contributor status than $50 of "bundle" game. And winners aren't likely to report that they got extra free games.
I note that King Arthur Collection is a weird case though. It's a game whose component parts are $12 less than its combined package. The individual parts bought separately total $37.94, while buying them as a group costs $49.99.

Ah, you mean the Indie Gala mailing list email that I received 3 hours after buying the bundle with King Arthur already unlocked? Bundle site mailing lists typically run late for me, sometimes as much as a full day behind the bundle going live. So I was supposed to trust an email that I had yet to receive over the site itself? The problem is that the site itself specifically said King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame with no mention at all of any form of King Arthur Collection or KA1 DLC.
Having a separate App ID for the base game+DLC and the GOTY version is one thing. It doesn't matter whose decision that was (though it may cause additional annoyance to people who already own KA1). The issue is that Steam doesn't have a page for King Arthur: Collection. Steam's store itself makes no acknowledge of the existence of King Arthur: Collection, despite it apparently being part of King Arthur Collection (instead of the individual KA1 and DLCs that Steam links to from that listing.)
And when Steam's info for King Arthur Collection listed KA1 and its DLC separately, I should have immediately checked a non-Steam site portal to Steam's internal database just to make sure that the App ID used in KA Collection matched the App ID of KA: Collection?
This is getting silly, though. I'm saying that Indie Gala and Steam caused the confusion. You're not technically denying that. You're saying that people should take it on themselves to confirm everything, which I am somewhat disagreeing with, but which I don't feel like arguing with you. Particularly not since KA1 is already a hindsight example, which biases such arguments.

I hardly cared enough to read the last post so unfortunately I won't be reading this new blurb.
I apologize that I inadvertently insulted you by saying Then this thread is full of people who don't know how to use Google or check the forum for the particular game and that you've been trying to justify it since.

The important question is. Is it okay for people to give these away? (Since it isn't the whole collection.)

When you select King Arthur II - The Role-playing Wargame and press install, what disk space requirement does it show?
Comment has been collapsed.
well at the end... are you going to play the game
or only discuss about how many games are in there xD
Comment has been collapsed.
Even if it wasnt the version with all the dlc, you could still give it as King Arthur Collection anyways. We already had a thread on this and I also asked support myself. Not that it does any difference now that the entire collection is bundled.
Comment has been collapsed.
So people know that its safe to give away the game as the collection rather than have a bunch of other threads asking pop up?
Comment has been collapsed.
Because it activates as something else and on the indiegala page it doesn't say it includes the DLC.

The King Arthur Collection from the most recent indiegala does not include all the DLC that is on steam. Therefore, these games shouldn't be given out under the option for King Arthur Collection on steamgifts. This is not an error, it says the page what the bundle includes.
EDIT: It looks like the bundle does indeed include all the DLC, and can be given away as the collection on steam.
