Non Bundled SG Group

Hi everyone!

I don’t know, if you have ever heard about that great Steamgifts-Group called

Best Unique Gifts

Skull18 established this group on January 6th 2017. And many super nice Games found many happy new owners.

Skull’s got some privat fortunate circumstances, so he was searching for a successor. I feel so honored as he finally give his „Baby“ in my hands.

So, let me tell you, what’s this group about.

Description

This group is a chain giveaway group and will be hosting only 2 gifts at any given time, one for each tier.
Each game have to be unbundled. Humble Monthly games are not allowed!

ELITE tier
Gifts with Historical Minimum Value of at least 10$

NORMAL tier
Gifts with Historical Minimum Value between 2.99$ and 9.99$

What do we consider as a Historical Minimum Value?

We will not be considering the current Steam store price or the Steamgifts points value, but the Lowest Price in US$ in Price History on https://isthereanydeal.com/
So, we will be considering the lowest value it reached when it has been in a sale
(Be careful: following stores will not be considered in order to determine Historical Minimum Value: GOG, Origin, Uplay, Battle.net, Nuuvem and similar region locked payments sites).

Many of you already knows IsThereAnyDeal, since it's pretty commonly used in our Community.
However, for the few who do not know the site:
Go to https://isthereanydeal.com/
Write the name of the game in the search box in the upper part of the website and press Enter.
On the resulting list, hover on the game you were looking for and click on the History link.
Be sure to have selected/deselected all relevant stores and click on Generate.
Check th result for the Lowest Price value which will be displayed.

Examples:

1) Gold Rush: The Game has a value of 19.99$, but it has had a Historical Minimum Value of 9.99$, so it will be a NORMAL Tier gift.

2) Star Traders: Frontiers has a value of 14.99$, but it has had a Historical Minimum Value of 10.49$, so it will be classified as an ELITE Tier gift.

I have to ask a question about this group.

From what I understand it would seem that to win an unbundled game you have to give an unbundled game away so is it not more simple to just buy yourself the game you want instead of buying a game you don't want to make a GA to get a game you want in some other GA?

Of course it would be "more simple" but we are a community, that really love giving games away and, of course, winning games.
For me it's so: I have so many games on my wishlist, and I hardly can decide which one to buy. So if suddenly a person makes a GA for a game, I'm really interessted, I enter the GA. And if I'll win, I am super happy. I would have never been this happy if I would have buy it for myself. And I can now make another person happy, which makes me even more happy.

I hope, you understand, what I mean. 😉

"But, that same philosophy could also be applied to SG. Why give games away when you can buy them for yourself?"

Well you give away games that you don't want from bundles you bought that have a few games that you wanted. It is better to give away a game you don't want than to activate it and force yourself to play something you don't want to play.
