He wants games like Diablo on Steam and you tell him Diablo.......which is not on Steam. Much like what was said to someone above, Baldur's Gate is NOTHING like a Diablo game. That's not even a matter of a "difference of opinion". Neither is Neverwinter Nights.
Finally, MedianXL is an entirely overrated D2 mod created by a guy who's opinion of himself is much too inflated for someone of such limited modding ability.

Van Helsing 1&2, Titan Quest, Fate, Sacred games (except 3 which sucks apparently) Grim Dawn is also a game to watch. (Early Access)

Titan Quest, with the expansions (Immortal Throne), plus the fan=patch, is a terrific game. Tons of content, an insane amount of armor and weapons sets, a variety of skills and environments, and lots of voice over work. Make sure to use TQVault to store your stuff, since the in-game bank is quite small.

I love Torchlight 2 and with few addons its great.
PoE I was playing with 3 friends we quite rush it till the end still great game tho.
I was trying Diablo 3 few days ago I kinda like it maybe when I get some cash I will buy it. (I was always sucker for Blizzard games). Only problem is I heard everyone went to RoS so 40euros minimum to spend D:
