That's true for any word on any web page, and specifically any nickname (of which there are about two dozens on this very page).
Furthermore, there's nothing that identifies his name as a username of an email address. There's no AT sign ("@"), which is also true for all the other nicknames on this page.

Let me clarify a few things.
- I caught you violating two SG rules. I could have suspended you immediately, but I gave you a warning for the more serious infraction. My leniency garnered me attitude instead of compliance, so that was obviously a mistake on my part.
- Mods give information when they correct someone, just as I did with you. If you want a more detailed explanation, the proper avenue is through a Support ticket. Mods deal with SG-related issues while they are on the site. When they leave the site, they are attempting to take a break from it, not have it follow them home.
- Mods have limited time and patience, so we focus on making corrections quick and efficient so we can move on to other things. Arguing is counter-productive and burns up patience fairly quickly.

I did not break any rules after editing the comments (I went over the rules to make sure), but since you requested I still deleted the edited posts.
This doesn't solve the problem, because I still want to post IG gift links as key drops, and by your standards I either shouldn't do that or should monitor the links and delete them as soon as someone takes the key. Since clarifications are very much needed, I can either create a ticket or a thread. Whichever you prefer.

That is correct. Once they have been claimed, remove the link from public view at your earliest opportunity so as to avoid displaying the person's email address.

Earliest opportunity is when the taker notifies me that they took the key, and I made it clear that I'll be happy to remove the link. It's not my responsibility to constantly monitor the links, and this principle isn't limited to IG gifts. SG doesn't have jurisdiction on the world wide web and can't expect users to constantly monitor every external link that they post here. If people follow links to external pages then voluntarily go there and share their information, it's completely on them.

Refer back to what I just wrote. If you have doubts about a link being claimed or not, try clicking on it and it will tell you whether or not it has been claimed. Until that point, there will be no email address associated with the link. When one is, it will show you and you may remove the link.

I was planning to start a thread about this, but IndieGala changed their gifting system and now all gift links are inaccessible, which makes this whole discussion moot. Ok, fair enough - I didn't read the whole thread and was just reacting to a few specific comments you made. My apology - clearly none of us are just one or two comments.
As to the thread, the basics of it are what I responded to - not who wrote it or how they expressed it. I've been in that scary position on more than one occasion, been mugged, have had my apartment robbed (fortunately never while I was there), etc... It is not a good feeling to live one's life in fear. So yeah, that is what I was responding to.
I also know and care for plenty of fine and worthy men. And I did not think the thread was about "every" man - just few that think this type of behavior is fine and harmless.
