Yes. Download CS:S models if you want to play TTT, no need to buy the game.

If you don't want to play sandbox, you can always try other mods like TTT. So, yes.

Be sure to get CS:S with it unless you wanna follow a few guides on getting the content. Singleplayer wise, the game can be fun for quick plays and building stuff (like Minecraft), multiplayer wise you're going to have a lot of fun if you find a community to play in and make a lot of friends

hmm, i probably wont get CS:S. But is there a problem if my friend have it and i dont? Or we can play togheter with no problem?
Thanks

It's fun and there are some cool multiplayer game modes

Download CS:S textures so you don't get texture errors and bugged terrain in GMod.

Of course there's Trouble in Terrorist Town, Roleplaying and sandboxes. Personally, they bore me out. But there's some other mods worth to try out. If you are a fan of hubs in games, http://www.gmtower.org/ is something you want to get presto. It's features several mini games and stuff to do inside the lobby like theater, making your own apartment, buying stuff, exploring, talking with people, playing in the casino and mini-games.
Upon that, they also features games like Chimera hunt, Golfing, karting and many more.
Despite the tower saying you need Half-life 2 and Counter-Strike source, everything in the tower should work fine despite the errors.

If you have other Valve games, and friends to play with - yes. I've got 56 hours on record, but havn't played it for ca. 5 months. Still, those 56 were great, and I would return to it if my friend had time

It's fun to screw around with, but it's not really a "game". It's still fun though.

yes and have other valve games installs (especially counter strike source) and then you have more models to play around with , also trouble in terrorist town is fun.

Garry's Mod is an online game. It's boring to play offline. When I played gmod I always played TTT game mode. It's really fun to play if your playing with people.
Theres alot of other great modes but I always played TTT , you will have to buy css for it to look and play normaly!

In my opinion, g-mod has just gotten worse and worse over the years. It's gone from a sandbox where you could make half-assed movies, to a mod-engine with an incredibly steep learning curve.. but apparently a lot of people have fun with it.. they're just not me.

I know it has good reviews, but i am afraid thats just an sand box with no objectives. And, do i have to own other valve games to have more content or not?
Are there missions to download and play, or its just messing around in an open space and creating stuff?
