hmm.. if you want your profile removed from here, why are you still posting here.. just never visit the site again, but whatever..

That would work, or he could just post a referral link.

The ability to leave websites and clear their email and account information from the respective website is a legitimate request peoples.
No really, hear me out.
Once upon a time I used my same email and password for everything. (A great deal of people do.) One of the services I used got "hacked" (read: didn't secure their shit) and all my other non-essential online accounts went with it.
The ability to say, "Yeah, get rid of my info please" is in this regard a legitimate request.
I can't speak to why the OP wants their account removed, but there's plenty of them. Getting banned doesn't remove the profile from the site guys.
I don't know why there's any forum guerrilla hostility to this request at all, clearly the mods took it seriously and wanted to follow through with it.

If this website had ratings, you'd get one. You seem to be one of few who actually understand why a request like that is normal. Even though his reasoning is a little light, your example is very possible. Also, SteamGifts logins in directly through Steam and they don't get to store that type of information, but removing his e-mail or profile history could be a good enough reason to want it gone.

Well, I suppose it's THAT hard to make some SQL commands to select the user and erase his data from the site.

Sigh, I've never said this was an impossible task or that data is here forever. On the contrary, I've mentioned to the moderators, and Cult, that we're including the feature when the site is updated in the future. We've been telling people in support this for a while, and we keep track of their usernames so when the option is available, we can automatically remove their account as previously requested.

That hasn't been discussed to my knowledge, but if it were up to me, they'd have to create a ticket so that a hacker can't delete someone's account in just a couple of minutes.

What he said. That's likely what OP was told in his ticket too.

The problem seems to have been solved. But I'll post anyways because why not.
