'87 IBM Model M

Lucky enough to find it on ebay for ~$40. Hard to find them going below $100 now.

Puts Cherry keys to shame

I disagree. I prefer brown switches over the buckling spring switch. Fuck, I have spent a grand on keyboards only to find that I like brown the best.

Best cheap made keyboard ever it's waterproof (and by waterproof I mean I spilled so much liquids on it over the years and I still wonder how it evens works) works great has lots of extras including a finger fan made from extremely cheap plastic and it was only $2 at a discount shop odd thing is I prefer this keyboard over the logitech keyboard someone bought me for a gift.

I use a DELL KB1421 which I acquired from work, It's very tactile but not mechanical I don't think, but feels like it is.
Wired and tactile, the only way to game...

For those who haven't tried a proper mechanical keyboard, it's well worth it.

I have tried many and in my opinion, Filco makes the best mech switch kbs. They usually arent flashy, nor do they have much in the way of "gamer" keys, but you can always buy a butt ugly razer attachment for that :)

ive never cared for Razer keyboards. Personally i dont think they are well built, & they dont have the greatest track record for their products. Ive had problems in the past with their mice & have tried their keyboards at the store, which in my opinion are cheaply made. My roommate owns the Black Widow. I find most of their computer accessories to be an eyesore. Too much going on & too busy. Sure the keyboard i have now isnt super simplistic but its attractive without being over the top.

I did alot of research before i bought the one that i settled on. The Filco Ninja was top on my list but i choose a Max & im pretty happy with it. Its well built, study, the LEDs are bright, & the software is simple & easy to use.

if i didn't pick a LED keyboard, then i would have picked the Filco Ninja, which will probably be my next keyboard if i ever have problems with this one, but i dont see that ever happening. Ducky was also on my list but they didnt have the color of LEDs that i wanted at a decent price.

did you get their nice fancy leather armrest for your keyboard? gotta love their leather armrests that they put out. :)

Blue is probably my second or third favourite switch. Competes with Topre. Everyone says Topre is best, but I prefer the brown switch :D

May be a Call of Duty >.>, but $27.50 and free shipping is dang nice price for a gaming keyboard.

Microsoft makes the best shit. Sure, it may not be quite as good as some dedicated "gaming" keyboards & mice, but they will almost assuredly outlast them. That damn silver keyboard/mouse I have at work still works like new after 40 hours a week for like 6 or 7 years. Also the battery life on these are like... retarded good. I can go 4 or 5 months before having to change them.

"Microsoft makes the best shit. Sure, it may not be quite as good as some dedicated "gaming" keyboards & mice"

Actually Windows Mouse Optical 1.1 and Intelimouse Explorer 3.0 are often considered best gaming mice for low-sens players. So not exactly "not quite as good" - often even better. ;-)
