I think he's talking about the S rank that many games give as a 'top rank'.

You may be best off asking on the game's forum then. If the game has both an S Rank and an S- Rank, maybe S is the best, while S- is just below, then A Rank and lower? This is, of course, just a guess since I know nothing of the game.

I seen the update with the picture posted. I am going to stand behind my theory that S- is just a step below S, then S+ being the best. So from worst to best, S-, S, S+. This is just a guess, but I would assume that would be the case with the picture you showed.

Even though the forums are dead, have you tried searching them? I found the forums, but I am unable to search without signing up and logging in.

The S Rank in games is usually the best rank you can achieve for doing a goal, mission, quest, or whatever in a game. I don't think there is really a difference between S Rank and S- Rank, just may be the way the game shows it. I've seen some games say, "S-Rank", while others just say "S Rank".

Usually in games, F Rank is the lowerest or worst, then D Rank, C Rank, B Rank, A Rank, then S Rank as the highest.
