ew, 10-0 ? :P
but regardless, still 20ish mins to go, so plenty of time left to turn things around !

I did get a goal. I think they got another four. That is what an 'offense is the best defense' policy gets you against a team two divisions higher...

oh well, in 20-30 seasons nobody will remember that game, so its not all that bad !
also, just noticed its fm2014 :o that was my last fm game too (:
i dont really feel like paying $30-$50 every year for rehashed version of previous game with like 2 mini features added, which almost always takes like half a year for sega to actually get the game into working condition.

I'd agree, and also it takes me more than a year to play through a game of Football Manager. I was playing 2005 until I won the Champions League with Walsall and bought 2014...

I noted this a while back. First noticed it when Nobunaga's Ambition: Souzou showed up in my library when the script also added the free DLCs to my account. Then going through my queue for the sale cards I noticed several games where marked as owned even though I didn't own them.
So they basically act as F2P games. They don't show in library unless you own DLC and you can't drop cards but can play them in full.

I don't get it :/
Are you saying you just run the freepackages script, in the manner it describes, but with the AP ID of the free weekend games substituted in the varfreepackages section?
I'm not even sure what the freepackages script is supposed to do- is it just automatic activation of all games tagged as 'free'? Basically, a starter kit to steam gaming? :P

SteamDB auto generates a list of games/apps/dlcs/whatnot that are marked as free by Steam, passes that list to the freepackages script, which in turn simply adds/redeems all of their free licenses to your account (you can see in here all of your licenses).
Like I said, what's described in the OP (the games/apps/dlcs/whatnot getting stuck on your account), can only be done while there's a free weekend for a game.
Some examples:
1, 2, 3
4, 5, 6 <-- NBA 2K16 - a 60$ game on an indefinite free trial lol
7, 8, 9

That matches to what I said, I think.
so, if you don't want to be flooded by every free game ever, you just add the correct free weekend license IDs and remove the rest, run the script during the weekend, and you could jack the system to retain the license.
Interesting, but unlike torrenting, I'm not sure there's ever a moral rationale for doing such a thing- I guess if you don't have access to steam for a while, or your game can't handle a game, AND the game doesn't have a demo, you could justify it as a delay on your trial of the game, but still, that's a bit thin.

Cool find though, people can get a bit extended time to evaluate a game before buying :D

But ,getting the correct free weekend package ID isn't easy for normal users...or is it?? I thought SteamDB only shows subID

If your running the script as is that's not an issue. You only need to know specific IDs if you only want to add that alone

The script as-is floods your account with game additions.
You can just make a reference copy of the script and check for new IDs added as needed, in theory, even if the ID isn't available otherwise.
If you don't mind taking the time to do a lot of potential 'hide in account' edits, the script as-is may be easier.

If you're referring to hiding from library then it's unnecessary as the majority of what it adds are F2P games and demos which don't show in the library until they are installed.
As I mentioned in my thread when I brought this up weeks ago before realising it was applying to all free weekend games I didn't notice this happening until running the script added free dlc for a game that had previously had a free weekend. The dlc bound the game to my library just like any other f2p title.

I don't think so but if you're logged in it will strip out anything you already own.
I personally don't see that as an issue. How often do most people actually need to use that page. It's not like it gives a wealth of information.

...if their "Free Weekend" package is added via a script during that weekend.
Since I was unable to join any of the Payday 2 GAs on the site for several months (Steam reported that I owned it) and not actually owning the game, I did a little digging around today & found that I had it's free weekend package listed on my Licenses page.
Those "<NameOfGame> Free Weekend - <Month> <Year>" packages (see images) aren't just being automatically added to everyone's accounts (AFAIK), they got there when I used SteamDB's freepackages script while the free weekend was on - and it stayed there ever since, allowing me to download and play the game (I didn't really DL/play Payday 2, but I did it for a couple of other free weekend games today - and they still work, way past their deadline).
Anyhow, I removed that PAYDAY 2 Free Weekend - Oct 2015 license from my Steam account page (can't download/play it anymore on Steam) and bam - after a quick resync on SG, I can finally get the game for real!
So, if you want to join GAs for games that were once on a free weekend and are now somehow stuck on your account without ever buying/activating them (while NOT on their free weekends) and this or this don't help, or if you want to keep a "Free Weekend" game playable past it's expiration date, then this might just be a way to do it. Until Valve patches it on their end, sometime after HL3 or so.
