Layers of Fear and Black Mesa Level 3+ - CLOSED

Right so another humble month and another couple of games I don't really want. So this month I'm doing them both with a little riddle like the last forum giveaway I did.... They are level 3, just to give those who do contribute better chances.
LAME RHYMES INCOMING

Layers of fear
My first is in fear and not in face
My Fifth is the same but varies in CASE
My Second is in DEATH but also in LIFE
My fourth is a number 2 less than five
The only Letter that you still lack
Is in EMPTY but also in PACK
Pay close attention to which goes where
And you'll have a chance to toy with your fear

Black Mesa
My third is the difference between idle and slide
My Fifth is in NARROW, but also in WIDE
My First and my Second, in order, mind you,
Would be needed if ever you spelt out ZOO
My Fourth is special as it's a vowel in VOWEL,
If you're wondering which one, just remove the word OWL
With these clues and letters together again

Anyway, there you have it. Thankfully the guide is no longer being updated so my sorry attempt at poetry won't have me bumping the vogons down the list at this point.
