Broken giveaway

Something is wrong with this giveaway:

I have base game but still cant join giveaway and I'm not the only one. It seems like no one can join. What's wrong?

Because its parent is not Modern Warfare 3, but a hidden Steam app, the standalone CoD:MW3 multiplayer edition, which is not reported as owned for anyone, as it is sort of a tacked-on-something kind of app that cannot really exist on its own.

The more technical phrasing is that it depends on 42690 but only 42680 is reported for ownership in the Steam API.

So, nobody ever will be able to enter a giveaway for it.
