So I bought this game today after realizing it was on sale for only $2.25 for complete pack($9 for complete isn't bad just never have money).

I boot it up and die thousands of times within tutorial. After completing the tutorial I have no clue wwhat the hell to do in this game....So basically I have been spamming WEREDIGGLE mode and just beasting all these enemies. Then I realize I am picking up every item and have no clue what to do with them. Like how do I craft things? What exactly do I do besides explore, kill, destroy?

So far its been fun, but I feel I need to know what I am doing. I've played for about 90 minutes now and its pretty fun.

You'll need the proper items to even start crafting/brewing/grinding/etc.

How do you die in the tutorial? It's by far one of the easiest tutorials ever.

And if you don't know how to do anything, you didn't complete the tutorial.

I died on the how to cast a magic spell one (or whatever it's called) because I misclicked and didn't have mana after using the skill. Then the 3 diggles killed me. SHAME

I died in the resistance one because i didn't realize I had this potion that could do ranged attacking. Also died in the how to cast a magic spell because I didnt have mana after I turned it off.

Outside of that I dunno why I feel i dont know how to do anything. Probably just because of all those stats so I am like 0.0 "SO MANY...WHAT IS GOOD?!"
So I did random on the skills and so far really like the werediggle. Biggest question right now is if I should just sell everything I pick up that isn't food or an upgrade to my armor/weapon character stuff?

Your goal is to reach level 10 (or 15 if you activated the Diggle Gods DLC) by going down the stairs in order to find and beat Lord Dredmor, the game's boss. Since he is very tough to beat, you'll have to collect new gear that improves your stats and kill several monsters to level up and gain new powerful abilities. Here are some extra tips in case you need them:

  • When you find a statue of Inconsequentia, Goddess of Sidequests, click on her to get tasks that reward extra XP and a rare item. They require you to kill a certain elite monster, a group of monsters and/or take an item to a landmark (such as the Monolith or the Eyeball Shrine). Note that these sidequests can only be accomplished in the floor where they were obtained.
  • Tithe pieces of lutefisk to the Lutefisk God for a chance of getting a rare item. The more lutefisk you tithe, the greater the possibility of getting a reward.
  • Place your best items in the Anvil of Krong for a chance of getting a buff. The first anvil you find will certainly buff your item, but the next ones may debuff your item as well, so be cautious. Also, once you use an Anvil of Krong, it will be broken and will not be reusable.
  • Clearing out a Monster Zoo might be risky but is worth it, since you get a rare item as a reward for doing so.
  • Lord Dredmor is vulnerable to Righteous damage, it's the only type of damage he can't resist, so use it to your advantage.
  • Item's can be sold to Brax in one of his many stores by shift clicking the item in your inventory.
  • In order to craft something, right click the item used to craft to bring up the crafting menu.
  • Try out as many skill trees as you can until you find a combination that you feel works well.

Feel free to add me on Steam for extra tips. :P
