What's your favorite One Piece Saga?
water 7, the city is beautiful, plus everything happens there, from the beginning, through ennies lobby to w7 again, the power ups, the drama around one of the characters...enemies, betrayals, a lot of important information revealed, we meet important figures, old friends reappear

Great points, Water 7 is my favorite arc as well!

my favorite part is looking at how many episodes and looking back at life when I thought it looked like it was for very young kids and ignored it to learn its amazing after hundreds upon hundreds of episodes came out.
current episode I am on: Episode 1 0:00. I am to scared to start it... I struggle keeping up with seasonal shows at this point and there is just to much to catch up on now(why did I ignore it when only 10 episodes existed!).
(PS not a fan yet so don't WL me for this... maybe someday in the future when... if I start watching it I will become a fan)

Thanks for sharing! I will whitelist you if you want to play it, maybe it would be the catalyst to finally start watching/reading. I generally don't start long series either but kept hearing how good One Piece was so decided to give it a chance. I started watching the anime about 2.5 years ago and am finally almost caught up haha.

Marineford definitely, but Water 7 and Thriller Bark are close behind

There's too many to list them all, but one of my favourite part is Zoro telling Sanji nothing happened at the end of Thriller Bark.

I agree! I especially love Bon Clay's farewell at the end of Impel Down.

If i really have to choose one moment I would say the march to Arlong park. It s not only an iconic moment but it also carries a lot of meaning for that saga, the music score that goes with it is also superb

I just started reading One Piece a few months ago, I'm only at chapter 62 atm xD
But I'm really loving it so far.

Not really a big fan of the musou genre, plus I don't think the games are available in my country either.
Nonetheless, I am always up for favorite arc discussions. For a long time, and I think most OP fans share similar opinions, it had been the Water 7 saga for me. Some crazy big character reveals, not only regarding the crewmates but also the captain himself, plus a proper look at how evil the WG could be, that huge twist midway through the saga, and the first reveal of an Admiral. Yeah this arc had a lot.
But if you really think about it, Summit War was actually way more crazier. The saga consists of three major and two minor arcs and it just slaps from beginning to end. The reveal of how insanely corrupt and hypocritical the WG is, to insane character reunions, to even more crazier reveals and a tearjerker/heart wrenching ending. Now that I think about it's probably the trauma that makes you repress it, lol. And the fact the crew don't have that big of a presence in this one.
Of course, despite all the above - I'm going with Wano. Is it recency bias? Probably, yeah. I'm still sticking with it though. Honestly, there's just so much to love about Wano. The crew finally gets together again after a pretty long while. They go through highs and lows, through incredible friendships and glaring betrayals, there's crazy reveals and the much needed Zoro-centric plotline (:P), it tears your heart out while weaponizing laughter. And sooooo many character returns+reunions that it probably gives the Summit War a run for its money. Plus the Reverie mini-arc is just... absolutely chef's kiss. God I love how crazy it gets and the setup it build within those few chapters.

I'm pretty torn here, Water 7 is a really great arc and I'll probably go with that, Wano could be my favorite if it wasn't for the terrible pacing! Without spoiling anything, the next arc is looking to be a great contender for favorite arc due to huge lore drops and awesome fights!

Haha Condoriano! The G-8 arc is my favorite filler in any anime.

One piece was my first anime growing up (if you don't count pokemon). Love the concept and the characters. I haven't caught up yet but from what I've seen Thriller Bark is probablymy favorite arc. The battle of Arlong Park was pretty great too. But I think my favorite single moment from what ive seen is the flashback of Brook and Laboon. Really I just love the whole show.

I like East Blue, the beginning of the legendary adventure. I love One Piece because it teaches you a lot: Friendship, loyalty, dreams and the will to never give up to achieve them. And because One Piece is simply a part of my childhood :D.

My favorite would be the current arc but since you are only at half way of Wano I would have to say Arabasta. In Arabasta, we get to meet various interesting characters whom we meet again later in the story, and it help establishes how tenacious Luffy is. It is one of the few times in the early parts of One Piece where Luffy actually seems like he would lose, and he does a couple times against the same opponent. Nonetheless, Luffy gets to show how he faces against great adversity.

I have to admit that I've stopped watching One Piece somewhere shortly before Wano Arc cause I couldn't bring myself to wait for the weekly episodes, but so far my favorite Arc is Marineford, especially the prison part. Not only it brings on screen a lot of "old and fan favorite" characters, but it also had a lot of mind blowing parts like the heart breaking deaths of Ace and Whitebeard.
Edit: I really need to rewatch the series :)

Ok I'm gonna get hard flamed for this but I actually have a soft spot for the Long Ring Long Land filler arc and the Davy Back fight against the Foxy Pirates. The arc is a comedic gold mine filled with great character moments. It also serves as a relatively low stakes (but MUCH NEEDED) pallette cleanser for the start of the Water 7 saga.
And ngl Foxy's laugh is iconic 😆

I have only watched the Netflix show and I enjoyed it a lot and I'd love to play the One Piece games.
My favorite moment from the show was !SPOILER ALERT! when Luffy and Garp fought in the final episode - and what Garp told Luffy after the fight was over, I did not see that coming. I genuinely got so happy when Garp said he just wanted to test Luffy and make sure Luffy was confident with his choice in becoming a pirate. I loved that ending to season 1 and I can't wait to see what season 2 brings.
Another moment I really enjoyed was when Sanji joined Luffy on his adventures, when Zeff was standing on the docks to say farewell to Sanji. I'll never forget that scene it was so full of emotions.

I love when Luffy tries all his might to get back his single crew member no matter whole world is against him. Robin from enies lobby and Sanji from whole cake Island.
Sabaody Archipelago Arc was something. First time introduction of Pirate King's Second Mate Raleigh and his display of Haki, Luffy's mighty punch to celestial dragon was epic and reactions of worst generation towards luffy :D

My favorite arc has always been Summit War, and I think it will be very difficult to surpass. Simply because of everything that happens in this saga, constant action and emotions, plus the majority of epic characters we see in One Piece.
Currently, I’m playing One Piece Odyssey, and the other game I’d like to play is Pirate Warriors 4.
I hope you enjoy the Wano saga and what’s left for you to watch in the ongoing episodes, nakama!

I mean there is no doubt that Water 7 is EASIELY in the top 3. Thriller Bark was okayish, but my good it concluded with the BIGGEST moment in all anime (in my opinion) and I get goosebumps already thinking of it:
Zoros post arc battle/meeting with Kuma. My boy is already a GOAT but man, the tungsten balls to do everything that expired there and just keep your mouth shut... I am going right now to youtube to rewatch. GOD DAMN this guys.
(But yeah, every major battle with Zoro is nice to watch to be honest). I have a problem that they stretch the current and next arcs more then Luffy could ever, just to milk as much money as possible. Dressrosas pacing was already "annoying" but I swear to Oda, Wano was plain aweful. Yes, it had big story drops but compare what happened at the start of One Piece in the same amount of time as it took for Wanos whole arc to air (crew assemble, arlong park, logue town, little garden, alabasta (!) AND Skypia (!!)). Nobody can tell me that Wano was as good as all those combined. Yes even with Nika backstork hints.
PS: I just wanted to nerd a bit about One Piece. I am not interested in any of those games :)

i've fallen in love with one piece since east blue. but my favorite arc is sabaody, the build up to that punch and then seeing luffy unable to help his friends is heartbreaking, a short but an incredible arc.

The sheer amount of content in a good story, there's not much out there that can keep my binge watching satisfied quite like One Piece. Iv been a huge fan since higschool (nearly 2 decades god i feel old) One of my fondest memories was having a sleep over with my friend and watching a one piece movie in Japanese and trying to figure out what was going on while Luffy was running from a boulder.
Love Sky Island and Wano but most of all East Blue, its the foundation for the whole thing. Love origin stories too and the fan theories can get pretty wild. One of the things that got me to enjoy one piece even more is that the main characters don't always win, that's something that really bothered me in some shows that I have liked in the past.
