i never liked dead or alive , i wouldn't play it even if its free , thanks for reminding though

It's not "FREE for a time." It's free forever, same as DOA5LR Core Fighters.
In this version, 4 characters are initially available: Kasumi, Hitomi, Diego and Bass.
With them you can play with other fighters all around the world in "ONLINE" mode, play alone or with friends locally in "FIGHT" mode, or hone your skills in "TRAINING" mode. Adding to these are five new modes including the new "DOA QUEST" and "DOA CENTRAL", all stages are available and the first part of the "STORY" mode is playable.

Or in other words: Once again "Core version" means "Demo".

I have a doubt, in the dlc's for the core game there this text:
"This content may be offered for free for a limited period of time"
But, maybe this is a mistake. "Yes" or "no" i already grab ahahah
EDIT.: I think the dlcs may be offered for free for a time, NOT THE GAME! I think ahahaha

What you've screenshotted is for a DLC that's $20.00, and which is used to unlock the PvE story mode of the game.
Is that DLC currently free for you? As you noted, it does say that it may possibly become free in the future, but if it's not free right this moment, then there's not actually a Deal active for the game. :)

And that means we cannot complain about unreasonable pricing?
Comment has been collapsed.
Thats a completely different point. Your original statement was basically that people shouldn't complain about the prices of optional stuff, because they could just not use it. I absolutely disagree with that. Let's say your favorite game is Alan Wake. What would you say if they released Alan Wake 2 with a price of 500$? Would you then say the same thing? Or would you maybe be angry and compain about it (rightfully so)?
We can and should always complain about unreasonable pricing. That something is optional doesn't mean the unreasonable price is any less unreasonable.

No story mode in the free version, but you can purchase the story as DLC.

Yeah, I know they over-tax game consoles over there (I thought it was closer to $1000)
But !!! that is why the TECTOY Sega Mega Drive consoles are still popular in Brazil ... nearly after dozens of iterations and updates!
Everyone has a Mega Drive in Brazil I guess. That is why so many Genesis hacks (e.g., for the Mortal Kombat series) are still being done by the homebrew community.
C'mon fellows, would you rather buy a $120 USD Sega Genesis (Tectoy) or a heavy-taxed $1000 PS4 / XBOX ONE / WII U?

I mean, there's no indication from either anything they've said about DoA6 or in how they handled the previous games that they'll be doing anything of the sort. The only thing they've mentioned [that I've seen] is that they plan on moving towards an ESports mentality, which means potentially, maybe, possibly there could perhaps be a rotating roster of playable characters, as per other ESports games with character rosters.
However, until the team says something definitive, all we have to go by is their past habits, and they're not known for that kind of promotion. Definitely wouldn't hold your breath on hoping for freebies- which isn't to say they can't occur, just that putting strong expectations on it would be quite the gamble. Unfortunately, high-cost DLC packages are the new norm in this microtransaction era, and very few of them can actually justify their inflated pricing.

The print is on every DLC, yes. I hadn't thought to check the DLCs themselves at the time of the previous comment, and didn't have time to do so immediately following. Sorry about taking so long to catch on to what you meant.
It seems like they're covering their bases against any potential future promotions more than they are promising that they'll do such, and we don't know long it'd take to get to that point, either. It's still $53 to get DoA5, its story mode, and all its characters, and we've yet to see any kind of special sale, promotion, or bundle related to the game.
As I noted, the ESports angle may be why they're considering possible variations in their future approach- but if we go along typical ESports mentality, freebies are typically delivered as part of in-game play. In short, it's just too early to put anything definitive on the blurbs in the DLCs- though, of course, they are worth noting. We just won't know for sure what kind of approach [and thereby 'Deals'] they'll actually be implementing, until they implement them.
So again, it's interesting information, but the thread probably should have its category changed to General, if there's not yet an active Deal related to the game.

second one is this:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1034470/DOA6_Story_Unlock_Key/
edit:
second code says 'status :ok ' in ASF but it doesn't show up as owned as it's 15.99 on steam page ,oh well ,worth a try.

it's for Archi's Steam Farm, you can find it here [(https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/gCxhN/archis-steam-farm-asf-steam-cards-farmer-and-much-more-windowslinuxos-x)]

347132 is :
The Core Version (not the full game!):
https://store.steampowered.com/app/838380/DEAD_OR_ALIVE_6/ ✔
344255 is the story mode and costs £15.99 ,
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1034470/DOA6_Story_Unlock_Key/
sometimes it is free ,but not today.
You can use a program called ASF (archisteamfarm) to enter the code (steam appid) and it will be in your steam account.
and also farm trading cards.
You can find steam app ID or sub ID (asf codes) for steam games here:
DEAD OR ALIVE 6
https://steamdb.info/app/838380/subs/
It can seem very confusing at first because there is a lot of appid's / sub id's for a game + dlc appid's

Any idling software will cause you to be disconnected from VAC servers, but so will several programs [see the Steam FAQ page >>]. There has never been any confirmed report of anyone being banned or otherwise troubled in any way for using any idling software.
Moreover, the fact that Valve added idling software to their list of VAC-incompatible programs tells us they're fully aware of idling software, and that they're willing to give it legitimacy. As such, between that, Valve's long history of not speaking out against such software, and Valve's generally agreeable policies towards .. enthusiastic utilization of the trading card feature, Valve has all but outright indicated their approval of the usage of such software.
Given how wide-spread the software has become, even if Valve later changes their approach to such matters, we can expect there'll be some heads up on the change beforehand. Between all these elements, there really isn't any significant risk to using idling software.
That said, ASF is the least user-friendly of all the idling softwares [though likely the most well-featured by a fair margin], so it's generally only recommendable to users who benefit from the program's more specialized features [like being able to idle without client open, or being able to idle multiple accounts at once].
IdleMaster was the most recommended by far, and I know anyone can still use its subapplication to load any number of games to idle without issue, but I believe its primary interface has become unreliable for most after the developer stopped developing the application, meaning a lot of the convenience features wouldn't necessarily be available any longer.
I'm not especially familiar with the current selection of alternatives to ASF, so I can't give you any good recommendations on the matter. It looks like the last thread on the topic was from 4 months ago [and seems to recommend Idle Daddy and IdleMaster Extended as the top considerations], so you should be fine creating a new thread soliciting opinions on the matter, if desired.

If they introduce trading cards, you'd only be able to access them by activating a key version of the base game or by activating a DLC. There are only a very few games which don't follow Steam's standard arrangement. Otherwise:
Base games you purchase through the store or activate via key will immediately drop cards.
Free labeled games will activate cards as soon as you purchase any DLC.
Free-to-play labeled games will drop a single card for every $9 spent via in-game microtransactions.
This arrangement is widely considered to be the reason why the Minion Masters developer spammed keys and gift copies for their trading-card-dropping base game before releasing it for free, despite them intending all along to release it as such. That is to say, to bypass the usual restriction on card drops for free games.
As to how the small number of developers in the linked thread managed it without such workarounds, that's unclear.

Mind you, it's showing for $93 USD, not 16 Euro (which'd actually be 18 dollars). I don't think people'd be freaking out quite as hard over $18, even if it is only for cosmetics and two characters. Honestly, that's about what we're used to, these days, anyway.
I took a look, and DoA5's season pass also lists for $93, and articles based on official response indicate the price is correct for DoA6 as well, so it's unlikely that the season pass is available for 16€- or, at least, that such is intentional.
Comment has been collapsed.
My point was that complaining over $16~18 isn't really something you'd exepect these days, especially in light of the staggering pricing that we can see here. Basically just agreeing with your comment, while making sure the overall situation is properly defined. ^.^

just to get some bewbs and buttock....
Oh? I remember Dead or Alive characters being a bit more distinct from one another than simply for their.. assets.
With only three core cast members available for free [the fourth free character is new], I'm sure plenty'll feel compelled to pick up a couple of fighters for, y'know, gameplay reasons.
The season pass is absolutely absurd, at $93 for some cosmetics and two new characters [though Trii's comment above could indicate that it's a price error; Unfortunately, news articles indicate that it probably isn't], and $80 is definitely a lot (but somewhat typical, these days) for the digital deluxe version of the game, but at $20 for story mode and $12 for three characters, a non-completionist player could get a functional game at $32, which is a sizable decrease over a more typical $60 retail. Similarly, someone who only wants the characters without PvE can get all the characters for $50.
There's some things to raise an eye at, but the idea of chopping up game components so that people can choose to pay for only the things they actually want, is something we should thoroughly encourage. Inflated DLC pricing, not so much. Unfortunately, we may have to accept taking one with the other.
Well, there's really no justifying the cosmetic pricing, but at least that's something which won't affect most of us all that much. :P

it might be....
but everytime i search DOA only i only see bewbs lol
if it's their old DOA beach volleyball, i might interested, at least it's clearly for 18+
but this?? i dont get it, fighting game or bewbs? make up your mind already.... (even if it's alternate costume or DLC, gamer still "want" to see it either way)
still ill just add +1 game for my library, as long it's free
also koei games are all EXPENSIVE (for me), either their base game or DLC
Comment has been collapsed.
Game is pretty fun when price gets decent I'll def buy full version
Comment has been collapsed.
Licence added, but I cannot see DOA6 in my library list.
Comment has been collapsed.
Free games do not show up in your library. This is standard for Steam.
Only by activating a key version of the base game, an alternative paid version of the base game, or a DLC will you be able to access the game from library [without having it installed], receive a +1 to library from it, and, with only the tiniest number of exceptions, be able to recieve cards from it.
Do note that this thread is referencing a permanently free offering, and there is no actual 'Deal' currently active for the game.
Likewise, this game has no alternative base game offering, so there won't be any temporary free activation promotions for it, either.
As the OP has noted, the DLCs have text which vaguely hints at their potentially being given away in the future, so that'd be the element to look out for.

This Business model is completely idiotic. Its WHy I hate fighting games on PC, they try to milk you as much as possible. You have to buy fighters here lol, MK you had to buy fatalities, lol. This is part of the problem and cancer that is destroying PC gaming. Half baked games seeing the light of day and game distribution platforms serving to patch the game as companies see fit. It does not matter anymore for them that the game is buggy because they know that they can release fixes through Steam a week later. Disgusting.

cancer that is destroying PC gaming
Except you're wrongly singling out PC here, as the game has the same dlc nonsense on consoles as well.
And past-release patch culture has become the same bs everywhere since the PS3/XB360 for all consoles too (except Nintendo's)

Nope, not going to play against these otaku freaks that waste money on pretty costumes. Its not even on EVO, they know who is playing DOA

Have some DLC's to complemente the core game, so if you like the core game you maybe want to buy the story, or more character - specially womans ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
