Can we get an update on this post: http://www.steamgifts.com/forum/2sG1A/recent-questions-regarding-support

It's been a week without a word, and it would just be nice if we knew how much longer we have to deal with beta-key-gifters and referral-link-spammers having free reign on the site, not to mention the Bundle List not being updated with the latest bundles, thus temporarily inflating contributor values beyond what they should be.

Thanks.

He's replied to other more obscure threads so you never know. Also damn your avatar, I ended up going to McDonald's last week and I blame you.

I would like to know this as well. Has anyone had any of their support tickets answered by cg?

Yes, I was waiting over a week, then Yatterman quited etc. and my ticket was soon answered by cg.

Well that's at least good to hear. It seems a lot has been getting overlooked, which isn't surprising with just one guy handling everything.

Wow that's good news. Was it an urgent ticket? Did you bump the ticket at all or did you just leave it be once you submitted it? I've been bumping only my urgent tickets once a day as was recommended by an ex mod and it's going on 2 weeks now.

It was urgent ticket bumped couple times, but AFAIR Yatterman replied that I don't have to bump it and I should wait for Loko or cg.

I realize he has a lot on his plate, which is why an update would be nice. Keeping the community informed is always a good thing.

+1, an update.
tbh, I'd rather have the entire site put on hold until things get sorted.

I agree with you. I actually put my giveaways on hold until the current one gets sorted out. It's been over a week with daily bumps as recommended by an ex mod.

Cg is still trying to see the light underneath the piles of support tickets. Good grief, cg needs the support-probably life support after y'all complaining ;) Let's all play nice together and run with scissors :D

Not to mention re-gifted or traded wins, non-steam games submitted, fake giveaways, exploited keys, reroll requests, etc...

Asking for an update is not complaining, nor do I see anyone else in this thread complaining.

For every ticket he solves, another 67579457645087 get made, so don't expect it in the foreseeable future (this year), since he said he's gonna deal with tickets first.

He's busy making bacon pancakes. You don't want to make him hungry. You wouldn't like him when he's hungry.

I can only think that there is a good reason why this hasn't happened yet. Maybe it's a technical one. Maybe something else. It's frustrating for the community, but that's just the way things are.

One guy dealing with support tickets generated by a community of 174,813 members must be like pushing water uphill.

Hopefully a modding team will be in place soon to help deal with the backlog. The mods (and ex-mods) must be as frustrated as anyone with the current situation.

Well I don't mean an update to the SITE, but rather an update on the SITUATION.

lol. You joke, but Travis' weekly "Not a Blog" for Torchlight 2 is a big hit: http://forums.runicgames.com/viewforum.php?f=30&sid=6a235607b40510c79a7d1f10b76daf5d

Again, it's simply about keeping the community abreast of the situation.

That is what I understood you to mean. I'm not quite as simple minded as my posts suggest ;)

What I was trying [but evidently failing] to say was that I am sure there is a good reason why we do not currently have an active moderating team.

From the latest forum post, it looks as though the truth is that CG is refining the modding/reporting tools so that when the mods return, things will work a lot more smoothly.

A crackdown has also begun on the referral link spammers.

May I humbly propose a homecoming party for the much loved and greatly missed Banhammer?
