In Germany? Is that even possible? I'm somewhat shocked to be honest.

The second link doesn't work and the first one only says that people do not reach their maximum promised speed, which frankly is the case everywhere (AFAIK).

I'm shocked simply because I think of Germany as an advanced country as far as infrastructure/economy/welfare state etc. goes. I guess that it can happen even among the best families :)

Sadly it is possible but not very much have such a bad speed in Germany.
My last girlfriend had a slower connection and a friend of mine too. So hey... it can get more badly then my connection speed but its still frustrating because glassfibre cables lay only around 100 meters away from me.... and they have 50 MB connections (or 100)

When i am at my fathers house and have the laptop around i have 8 MB/s download speed. I use it sometimes when a game have 15 GB or more.
But wothout downloading stuff my speed is OK. Not nice to wait on sg sites sometimes but "luxury problems".
I was 3 weeks without internet and, mostly, phone too. THAT was really hard^^

Well, then I guess with my 8Mbps I'm privileged :D

It's a shame seeing even developed countries having issues with their Internet connections.

I used up my 100GB per month limit, so my internet gets slowdown until it resets next week. (Normally it's 25MB speed) lol

The fact you have a limit on how much you can download a month is really shitty, I'd run through that in a few days of Youtube :/

Most of the time my mobile phone carrier won't get my phone to 4G or even 3G and will only get GPRS (171Kbps) or EDGE (384Kbps), so.... long waits.

How did this happen? I know money is not the issue, so area maybe?
I have the same speed btw. 0.7Mbps. my mobile internet can get up to 10Mbps but has crazy data capping. capping that made the speed useless.

Living out in the country the amount of ISPs drop drastically.

Specifically: 1

It also doesn't help that paying $65 a month for "up to" 5 Mbps is on a Shared server (which means anyone else paying same price is also taking the Internet from us)

  1. Bad connection of LAN cable. Reinsert.
  2. Extremely old Lan cable standards. Replace with recent ones.
  3. Hot runaway of modem / router. Please install it in consideration of ventilation.
  4. Update the modem / router firmware.
  5. Cycle power on and off periodically.

(。-Θ-。)ooO(1.2.3.4.5.6.....)

I think such a thing.
In the past, I adjusted the "MTU" value and suffered from a line contract.

Long ago ... with a dial - up modem.
I tried pulling the ground wire, protecting it by winding aluminum on electronic equipment, I feel I have taken a lot of effort to make a difference.

Well, there is not much difference. XD
Recently, change the DNS to a fast thing.
