Hey, lately I got into listening to some videogame/movie sountracks to pass the time, I would like to hear your favourites, maybe I can find some hidden gems that way.

For example, I have been listening to some Skyward Sword OST, and Kirby Super Star (I love Nintendo music).

Looking forward to your suggestions. :)

MGS - The Best Is Yet To Come
MGS2 Theme
MGS3 - Way to Fall
Themes of the last 3 bosses in Persona 4: A New World Fool (littered with spoilers so beware) The Almighty Mist The Genesis
Just the ones that have stuck with me the most.

Oh and also I guess that P3 - The Battle for Everyone's Souls, but I've only just started the game so don't know how much it adds to the actual battle (but I like it I^v^I)

I own that 65days album.
Correct me if im wrong but the first half is not present in the game and rather takes inspiration from the title, the second is rather a small collection of ambient samples and textures that create infinite loops of music for the game ,put into songs.
I feel and to an extent from what ive seen, the soundscapes is a better exemple of the music used in the game

The Metronomicon - The Soundtrack
(full actual song list can be found here.)

Includes a few songs exclusive to the game - fans of Mindless Self Indulgence would be pleased to know that Jimmy Urine made an exclusive song for the game.

Also NeuroVoider's soundtrack.

Requiem for a Dream, composed by Clint Mansell and performed by the Kronos Quartet - https://youtu.be/7_6pc0u-9sI
The song Lux Aeterna, which is the leitmotif of the film (and soundtrack) is probably recognisable, as it was re-orchestrated with a choir and full orchestra for trailer of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. The original arrangement is near the end of the soundtrack (https://youtu.be/7_6pc0u-9sI?t=45m8s)
I wouldn't advise watching the film if you are feeling fragile: it's dark and powerful.

To be honest, I was surprised that it hadn't been taken off YouTube for copyright violation. The second link was just the first one (the entire 33 tracks from the "Original Album" detailed at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Requiem_for_a_Dream_(soundtrack)) cued up to the second last song. Google or YouTube may be able to hook you up if you search "Requiem for a Dream soundtrack" (also try substituting "score" or "OST" for "soundtrack"), or just for the song from the second link, "Lux Aeterna Kronos Quartet". It's worth a look - very powerful music, but as with the film, it won't make you happy.

As an aside, when did OST spring up as a substitute for score? I'm guessing that it originated in USA, since they seem to like creating new words and acronyms with little regard for the conventions of etymology. The O for Original is redundant because a film only has one soundtrack, and Soundtrack is reduced to initial letters by S not ST. It doesn't seem like much of an improvement to replace a five letter word with a three letter abbreviation that includes two letters that don't belong there.

If you consider VN-s games (I do), Grisaia no Kajitsu's soundtrack is just amazing. If you don't, then I would say Beyond Good and Evil.

I listen to a lot of movie and anime soundtracks, because they're simply wonderful.
Some of them have been mentioned here already and I swear I'm not a weeb.
Steve Jablonsky - Arrival to Earth
Brian Tyler - Now You See Me
Spice and Wolf OST (at least the part I linked)
Parasyte OST (they're pretty different, my favourites would be Luna, I Am, Solitude and Next To You)

Okay, this is the end of my list because I'm ashamed. Hope you like at least some.

Some of the coolest track from games I recall:

Fighting With All Our Might - Shovel Knight (never played it, I just watched an LP; has a nice soundtrack overall)
Trailer theme for Hatred; I never played that one and I don't intend to, the game doesn't look very appealing to me, but I got to admit this is a neat tune
La-Mulana has a nice OST as a whole
Ocelot Youth - MGS3 is another great track
Speaking of MGS3, can't forget Snake Eater
The Last Battle theme from Cave Story is great
And of course, some Touhou

final fantasy - zanarkand The fact that i love this song that much is also due to the memory from the game that are linked to it
final fantasy 13-2 battle on the bridge
jade cocoon didn't played tis game since childhood, yet i am still often surprising me whistling the theme^^ i really love the feeling of the ocarina in it, especially "sirus village" one

a whole lot of other i can't recall right now :D

yeah the game have been really underrated due to some similarities with pokemon (you can capture monster, fuse them and made them battle for you) so it have been shamed. Though its a game with its very own universe, worth playing at least once, the soundtrack is totally one of the reason for that^^

+1 for Zanarkand

Literally the best song in any videogame ever as far as I'm concerned. +1 for the memories being linked to the game. :)

Bionic Commando: Rearmed, specifically track 3, Power Plant. I was disappointed it wasn't included in the Humble Bundle where I got the game. It's not normally my main genre of music, but it's very catchy.
Bionic Commando: Rearmed OST

It's by Simon Viklund, who used to do the music for Overkill's PayDay 2, but has gone his own way and released an EP earlier this year, ORBOT:

There's probably a lot of great soundtracks that I haven't heard, especially from an older generation of games, but here's a few game soundtracks from my memory that have stood out and are some of my favourites.

The Sims soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2MFv2xe8yQ&index=5&list=PL538B8AD43F078BFA

The Last of Us soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJSdwJw4S9Q

Life is Strange soundtrack (especially compositions by Jonathan Morali): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3KpYkE53iU

edit: I shouldn't forget, my first favourite ever.

Super Mario World soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgUmFPnkoHU

Oh The Sims, I really like the music in that game, specially the building one. 80% of the time I was playing was building houses so the music stuck with me.
The other games have amazing music as well. Good old times with Super Mario World :)

For this soundtrack I even installed ITunes (without having any Apple device), since I couldn't find any other source here:
Sunshine by John Murphy
A very similar and also favorited motive can be found in the Youtube hit "Everyday", which is more or less a soundtrack, since it was used in Simpsons: Everyday - Carly Comando

From dusk till dawn OST
After Dark by Tito & Tarantula

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Black Sheep by Metric, sang by Brie Larson
apropos: didn't get Gold Guns Girls by Metric out of my head for weeks after playing Test Drive Unlimited 2

Jason Bourne OST
Extreme Ways by Moby

TRON OST
Derezzed by Daft Punk
and while at it, Discovery would also work, since they made Interstella 5555

Hanna OST
The Container Park by Chemical Brothers

Theme from Schindler's List by John Williams and Itzhak Perlman

The Grandfather Finale Theme by Nino Rota

City of Angels OST:
Iris by Goo Goo Dolls
Uninvited by Alanis Morrissette

Well, don't need to mention Stars Wars and Hans Zimmer's themes I think.. everyone knows some.
Regarding games I liked the most the great and manifold radio stations of GTA.
