Impossible, once you hit 30 you simply drop dead, everybody knows that. Not if you bought a minecraft license though, in which case, as soon as you're 29, a creeper spawns under your bed at sun down and bah-bye.
But that's just because Notch in His Infinite Wisdom wants you to spare you that last year of grief which is becoming decrepit.

Minecraft was fun for a while but I bought it in alpha or something along those lines. Built a nice single player but there was only so much I could do before it got boring. Multiplayer servers were fun but again it didn't last long. I ended up building an entire town with huge buildings (castle walls with church arena houses and so on) all in survival but that got boring too. The 5-12 age thing is right on the dot...eventually the server I played on got over run with them and most of the older players quit because they didn't want to babysit.

The 5-12 year-olds are playing COD, Skyrim or some other crappy game because they don't like Minecraft's graphics. Minecraft is a game for mature people. Let's say Minecraft is a Fellini movie while the games that people who say "Minecraft is boring" play are Michael Bay movies

Sheesh is this kid late to the party or something? If you don't like it don't play it. Yes it can get boring but any game can get boring.

Tell that to the nine thousand people making omg cod sux threads.

Ya it's so boring .-. I played it for a little. I even spent a few days putting torches everywhere without using any tools. I don't know why i did that, but it was actually fun.

Minecraft is video game, so of course it is going to get old. All video games do. Even more important to note is it's a sandbox game, which means it relies mostly on your imagination in what to do next. Even games like GTA relies on players to explore and try random things in order to be fun (and not just play the story). Minecraft is even worse than GTA, for it requires you to have even more imagination due to the building aspect of the game (see little big planet for the PS3). What you have to do is have a group of friends and randomly try something new together (rooster teeth has "things todo in minecraft which are promising). I never played the damn game, but it looks amusing. Granted, I am not some kind of child that hates games because they're overrated; I just play games that I enjoy. One of these days, maybe I'll buy minecraft... but for now.. I have no friends that plays it. :| so no point.

So your complaints are:
You have 129h on Terraria, 659h on Garrys mod.
Garrys mod can be basically seen as a 1:1 copy concept wise with Minecraft. It relies heavily on mods, the main game is you in a barren world building stuff. Obviously when in Gmod you use Valve game assets in Minecraft you use the lego likes blocks and redstone contraptions.
It is a huge lego world for you to play in. The game is what you make of it. Mods are encouraged to be developed. Gmod would died off if it would of stayed by its original concept of letting you play with the physics. Without adding in the multiplayer element and modding.
You don't like it makes you obviously think it is oveerrated. Mods are meant to do that, concept wise the game wasn't supposed to be anything but a lego world. Notch didn't exactly hope for it to get noticed and do so well. He was an indie company with small staff trying to make a fun game for a niche market. Too many YT'ers again, not the games inherint fault. Kind of counters your own argument, if it is considered generally overrated people wouldn't play it. About it having 30 year old perverts and 5-12 kids it kind of shows again that you probably are the wrong age group and the game probably doesn't have to appeal to you. Again most agree the game is about the freedom to play in your own lego world. Both the block building main game and being able to develop mods wise.
Bottom line is it wasn't supposed to be an AAA title appealing to everyone, Notch made a concept game. This game popularized the idea of having destructible terrain on large scale and that players enjoy creating and destroying their own map. Also such freedom allowed for a lot of creativity to again, develop mods and build stuff a la lego style.
The game or "story" of you having to reach diamond gear and go to the nether is just added so you could do something. Same way Mount & Blade became popular. Is that overrated? One of the best gameplay and concept game. The fluff of having a story and some kind of end to the game...still missing and never got done. You are looking for AAA quality material from indie concept games that rely on gameplay and innovation. Barking up the wrong tree totally.
Answer me this, how does Garrys mod differ from Minecraft? What is the appeal of Garrys mod?

I enjoy both MC and GMod.
I suppose GMod is more appealing to gamers because GMod has more "Game modes" which are entirely different from the normal "construction" mode. I bought GMod solely for the purpose of playing Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT Game Mode) which is indeed very enjoyable for me. What's better is that there are also other game modes like Jail Break etc. (End of thinking capacity :x) which can be very fun.
I suppose these are more appealing to some and less appealing to others. There could also be other things which OP enjoys that MC doesn't really have.
I am 16 and I know many friends who play multiplayer (we do play together from time to time as well). May be you are on the wrong side of the servers to be meeting 5-12 year olds...I haven't really met any 5 year olds so far :x

for a long time I used to tell some friends that played it that it was just a stupid game. they would do all this work to build 1:1 scale shit. once they made this big ass hockey stadium and i ask them, 'so when you are done, can you play hockey in it?'
them: nope....
'so, can you do anything when you are finished, any mini game or something?'
them: nope...
'so you do all that work,... so many hours... just to look at it?'
them: yup!
few months later one of them bought me a copy so i started playing it, actually enjoyed it lol. played mostly survival single player, learned everything, then got bored. check out some mods, play a little bit, get bored.
now i just play a little here and there until it gets boring, and then stop... and come back when i feel the urge to play again...
is that so different then a lot of other games?

Some people get it, and other people don't. I think playing FPS games online is rather boring (because I suck at them), but many millions of Mountain Dew-fueled dudes and dudettes adore those games. I love Minecraft, and though I don't play it very often these days, anytime I open the game, I still end up playing for hours, starting on a new big project that I'll probably never finish :P I think it's just about how our many varied brains work; we're all different human beings, so let's live together in harmony! Your game is good for you; my game is good for me.

It doesn't mean they are not overrated. The top is mostly about how many people buy it for a full price... IT'S EXPENSIVE AND A BIG STEAL... The game itself was copied by a game of the 90s, and it was just given bigger resolution and a big more stuff.. Devs must have spent so much time on making it... The only good thing about it is people who create awesome things, but the game itself is overrated. It should be around to 5 Euros, not 15. With 15 Euros I can buy 3 AAA title games.

You're only incorrect in that the belief of overratedness is not black and white; it's completely in the eye of the beholder. Making it an objective truth that it's overrated is a much more demanding goal. You have to give real evidence that speaks to (literally) everyone, and that's damn near impossible. I don't believe it's overrated based on any of the arguments you presented, and I'm not going to bother with counter arguments because: 1. I don't want to start some silly fight, and 2. That argument won't go anywhere, since the game is overrated to you and not at all overrated to me. If anything, we need to argue the possibility of subjective truth, the idea that certain things can be true for some people but not for others. If we can accept that's possible, then we can accept our differing opinions and join hands in friendship as lovers of games.

Its a very simplistic game.
Wrong. Just wrong. If you don't know about Redstone mechanics, you should at least see a few videos about it or read up on it. The Redstone world is extremely elaborate and intricate...you can build so many devices ranging from a simple timer to calculators to even a simple computer (yes, a computer with CPU, GPU, RAM and HDD) Although only a few are hardcore enough to spend days building complex redstone contraptions, the simpler ones are fun and satisfying to construct. Use your imagination/creativity and you can build many cool things with redstone which no one else has ever built yet.
Check out SethBling on YouTube (He isn't some ordinary YouTuber trying to gain fame; he comes up with something innovative regularly and his work tells you all about how MC can be manipulated to become complex even without any mods).
I know you mentioned creative mode and you probably don't seem to enjoy "building" that much, but my point here is that MC is NOT a simplistic game. (I am not a fanboy who is desperately trying to defend MC. All I want to do is to show you that MC is not that simple as you view it)
Also, you can choose not to play on those servers infested with 12 year old's. Instead, you can play mutliplayer (private server?) with your friends, because when you play survival or even creative with your friends it is more enjoyable than playing the game alone.
Of course, with ANY game, yes ANY game there is, after you play for a while or even just a few hours, you can become bored of it. This is just we behaving like humans...when this happens to me I just go and play another game, then come back to play the game I got bored of after some time (when I feel like it).

I understand the joy of discovery but having to rely on a wiki in order to play it properly it's really a problem that should be fixed. They should just add more achievements, one for about every thing you can make, so you can use them as a guide.

Minecraft is still being updated even without Notch on it, 1.7 is coming and as always it will have an huge amount of new stuff (new terrain generation for example), so I'm totally sure they are doing this on purpose, wich I think is a mistake.

I disagree on everything.
I've spent hundred of hours on this game AND on the vanilla version.
I play with a friend on a private server, if you play on shitty servers it's your problem, not the game's one.
Same for videos on youtube, the game has got nothing to do with it.

Like a lot of games in fact.
Don't complain about the game if you play with randoms

You never play coop games, do you ?
The same thing gonna happen in any game with a coop side.
SO, don't complain about a game if you play with randoms.

Before you go all "omg ur such a nub minecreft is teh best gaim evur!!!11!" on me hear my points.
Sure, it can be fun for a while, but all the attention its gotten is really too much. Its a very simplistic game, and the only way I found fun on it was modding it, which got boring after a while too. Once you get your diamond tools and stuff its basically over, nothing else to do but build and you have the creative mode for that.
Also you have about 100 thousand minecraft youtubers, which try to copy the success of others which is very annoying, making youtube like 50% minecraft videos. If I wanted to watch people build I'd sit down and watch a construction site.
And time for the 'best' part. The multiplayer. All there is to say about it is that its a bunch of kids aged 5 - 12 with yogscast skins that 'troll' by destroying pixelated bricks and then the occasional 30 year old creeper that plays it too.
TL;DR - I don't enjoy minecraft and I think its overrated.
