What to do with a foil card (GA's)

Try to sell, notice after 5 minutes that someone undercut you. After months and months it still isn't sold.

Sell on market (which will take years to sell) or do a 1:3 card trade.

i never sell my foils, i often trade them it 1:2 rate for other foils, and i actually can sell some like the payday 2 one but it well worth more that way since u get more foils

I got one this week and sold it. Now I can buy The Talos Principle. :)

Math is the subject I's worst at in school. So take my "advice" with the Dead Sea:
With such (")commodities(") as Foil Cards (and certain weapon skins, etc.), there is a (")limited(") supply. Yes, Booster Packs each have a chance to drop Foils, though that chance is basically negligible. Thus, regarding those commodities, it's a sellers' market.
Post that Foil for whatever price you see fit (knowing that, what with us being on SteamGifts, you shouldn't gouge :3 )... and just wait. You will sell it eventually.
With things like common cards (provided the game is popular enough), it's a buyers' market. Can just go through every card for a set that you don't have and bid for 8 cents or so and you will (probably) eventually get it.
People pay for convenience. If you don't and are patient, the seller will have to give in at some point. cough bundle games cough
Cynicism or practicality?

For me, if you are not a badge collectionist and dont want to spend money on complete a foil set... sell it :p

A foil card that isnt meant to be sold, is worth nothing.
