The following reddit thread explains how to get your free Steam key. Just put boo in the discount code section and then hit recalculate. The new balance should go down from 9.99-0.00 and then you just fill in your info and submit your order. Easy as that and the next screen gives you your Steam key. You sound like a childish ass calling people names for holding their personal information as having some value.

No, I sound like a decent reasonable human being who values their privacy and personal information., Especially in a day of identity theft running rampant unnecessary registrations for items one would not want is a risk. I've now given 2 additional companies (Wadjet and BMTMicro) my personal information. In exchange I expected a product of a reasonable value for that information. A DRM free version on a possibly time limited download link does not meet my value estimation for the information provided.

Yes, I expected a Steam key when I filled in the information there. No, I do not register for free games like that just for DRM free versions. I've emailed both companies on this as I am disappointed. I understand that there was some confusion on the part of all 3 parties involved (Steam/Wadjet/BMTMicro) and that may have added to the confusion of this event. However, as I've stated I do not feel a single DRM free game (on a possibly time limited download) is worth the information provided to multiple companies. My choice and opinion on that.

YEah, i think they ran out of keys. earlier i tried to buy the game and it said that due to massive demand the product was not available. BOO2 worked for me, but yeah, no-drm download it is.

I emailed them and they said it was a glitch that handed out steam keys for this promo. They never intended to hand out steam keys only free drm version and they have fixed it now.

I think that is ridiculous. As many steam keys that went out they should just keep giving them.

Well, your entitled-ass attitude is a bit ridiculous, but as I see it, if they wanted to raise popularity of their game(s), they should have been giving out Steam keys to begin with.. I, for example, won't be installing / running this now, because I am reinstalling Windows today, and don't feel like the hassle of doing a separate download, installing, etc. Having a Steam key available would mean I'd add it to my library, and play it later today..

I was not trying to come across as entitled but only was trying to say that since they gave out hundreds probably thousands of steam keys already I dont see why they wouldn't continue as long as the promotion is going. The promotion is supposed to last until midnight friday.

It's because things like this happens. If people would just get one key for themselves this guy didn't have to stress about giving away free stuff. That's why there's a strong opinion against users making a bunch of those.
