Happiness is getting MGS V as a gift.
Sadness is when it's region locked. [ Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam]
And the person who sent me won't take it back either.
So, what's your suggestion? What should I do with it?

I'm assuming you tried to talk to him about it seeing as he won't take it back?
Keep the game if he doens't want it back and mark as not received after 7 days.
If he didn't add a regionlock while making the giveaway it's his fault.

A, thats makes it less of a hassle, if he doesn't want it back just do with it whatever you want.
Aka give it away here, sell it, try to trade it, whatever :)

Keep it for 2 week, if he suddenly cash back... if you created the giveaway or trade it away it would be worst...

Book a vacation to one of these countries. Have relaxing holidays.
Activate the game on your steam account while you are there.
Wait three months.
Play the game back at home.

might only work with keys. you can still have some nice holidays !

Why wait three months?

These games are geolocked. When you play them somewhere else you can't use them unless you have the right - in this case SEA - ip-address. However, this geolock vanishes after 3 months and games can be played normally everywhere.

Also please be careful in trades, the last few guys who posted threads like yours were scammed by impersonators or scammers who tell you to look at their steam profile reps, instead of rep from steamgifts

You can exchange it with me, rather than it to give it away.. something is better than nothing right?

That's weird, especially if the person won't take it back even knowing you can't activate it. Maybe I'm paranoid, but any chance that if you give it way or sell it, it will end up removed from library?

Got scammed for it >.<
Not that I am too upset about it since i got the game without spending money. He has good reputation but still scammed me. Unable to trust reputed players makes me sad.

Steam profile reputation can't be really trusted, you should always check steamgifts reputation. In this case, this guy has not traded before here, his reputation is +0 / -0 (you can access his steamgifts profile from his steam profile if you have "enhanced steam" add-on installed on Chrome).
And if he scammed you, you should leave him a negative vote here on steamgifts, for everyone to see it, that's the way to alert everyone (since you can't really mention him, as Flexibt says)

Thanks. I guess getting scammed is granted for new traders like me. Even I have +0/-0 but then again I never scammed a single soul. This was my 1st game trade, all other trades I did so far was for trading cards only :( ... Anyway, a lesson learned the hard way.
