Go a support ticket for misuse of feedback on my profile to see if they remove me the negative feedback and 1 month after still no reply.

Hate to see this negative feedback on my account, support very very very busy or not working lately ?

Yes, It works. certain support tickets are handled very slowly due to the lack of people that can deal with them. Particular tickets are resolved in hours, some may not be marked as resolved when they are being worked on, and others may take a very, very long time, presumably due to lack of information and assistance in dealing with them.

Sometimes it takes a while.
Support is made up of volunteers (as in, they do this for free), so be a little patient.
There's only a handful of them vs the 100's of 1000's of users on the site.

What I honestly don't understand is why they don't solicit new volunteers.

We've had support members throw public fits because they feel the community pressures them to take on more work than they can handle...so why not bring in more people?

Because cg can't just trust any 'ole Joe Schmoe.

I'm not saying they should accept everyone who volunteers, but I'm sure there are a few people with a good track record on the site who are also willing to help out.

It can take a long time for you to figure out who you can trust with power and who you can't. Someone you think is perfectly fine just one days flips out and doesn't just ruin your day, it ruins your entire year as you try to get the knife out of your back.

There are also the people who you think you can trust to bring in and test, but maybe they just don't want to. I used to help run a large site, not as big as steamgifts, but it kept me on my toes thats for sure. I've retired from that site and if I was asked if I wanted to be a mod here, while I would be honored, I don't believe I would join. I know what kind of pressure they are under and that also takes a certain kind of person to handle it.

And for all you know, right now they are looking at more people, discussing who they think might be good for a spot.

I would imagine it's partly because it takes a special kind of person to volunteer to put up with all that BS in one day and deal with things in a patient, unbiased manner.

Besides, what's the rush? This is a game-gifting and trading site. I can't think of anything outside of re-rolls that merit any real urgency ...
Or maybe I've just become too old to worry about the little things in life. -_-

Regardless, I'm definitely not the person to be asking those questions, ,since it doesn't bother me. :P

think like this;

you are serving coffee and some dbag comes in and takes a coffee. and even before drinks it, he yells "its disgusting!" and smashes the mug to floor. and you cant even clean the floor so every other customer sees it. how bad will you fell?

we traders (at leash most of i know) trying our best in trades. we are trying to be polite, trying to get the games we want, and i even know a few people who makes a living with trading.(selling on kinguin, g2a etc..)

mine is not bothering me because i have a lot of positive reps, but i can understand the new traders.

i am a barista by the way, the only example comes to my mind is serving coffee. its middle of the night here :P

One empty negative rep isn't that earth-shaking, if you ask me.
I had one for months and I've never even traded.

I don't sweat the small stuff. ;)

that was my point :) you are not trading. it doesnt matter for you but it matters for us :)

its even bigger for new traders. one negative rep can ruin their trading career.

it's very nice that someone makes a living out of trading, but none from support gets anything in return from moderating the site.

in fact, i bet most end their day with a bad taste in their mouths after checking useless and annoying tickets from entitled users. -.-

Ahhhhh brings me back to the days I used to help admin a gaming site. Its wasn't as busy as Steamgifts but the class of idiots is just the same.

I'd have one of these kinds of messages in my inbox at least once a week... It was sad but funny at the same time. :)

Haha Haha. That would leave the opposite of a sour taste in my mouth. I tend to enjoy the attempted flagrant abuse others, especially if it's this terrible. Maybe I'm more of a saddist than I thought...

it's not up to them, it's all managed by cg.

and i suppose he has good reasons to do what he does so far, the site has been working fine for 4 years.

By "them" I meant the site's administration in general.

cg is the only administrator.

I know cg is the only person with that title. What I don't know with any certainty is if cg's the only person capable of assigning support roles, but that's a little beside my point anyway.

Yes, he's the only one that can add support members.

We've suggested support additions before, but only apparently only Tempete passed his criteria and/or accepted the position D:

it works, you just need to wait.

like, there are over 800k users here, and 12 support users voluntarily moderating everything...

False feedback reports are some of the slowest tickets, sorry to say. I believe only two, maybe three, of the Support members can answer them, and they generally aren't high priority (most traders will check the user that left the single negative rep in the dozens of positive reps, see it is some random scammer or some new guy that got scammed by an impersonator, and then trade with you anyway).

yeah i suppose only a few are dealing with this, i've been seeing a lot of guys trading GTA V and other AA games with lots of negative feedbacks accusing them to scamming or trying to scam and they are still on business...

that -1 on my profile nothing big, but since it was reported 1 month ago with proofs and everything and i've been seeing a lot of freshys trying to scam on trades been asking myself if moderation has slow down lately this days.

Its as fast as it always was. I can still get some tickets like rerolls done in less than an hour. False feedback was never one to get a fast response, taking months, even over a year.
