Saints Row IV is basically Saints Row 3 2.0.

They're both very different while being very similar. Usually, so far I've noticed that whoever dislikes SR3 will enjoy SR4, and vice-versa.
Check some gameplay videos and decide which game you'd rather play.

Saints Row III: Crazy gangster-like game.
Saints Row IV: Crazy superpowers/aliens madness game.

The third is much better.

Saints Row IV is more grindy, so my advice is to buy SR:3.

Go with The Third, then get IV later.

and if i buy the ultimate pack i can use just the third and iv and the another sale?

IMO Saints Row IV is the best game of last year. but I haven´t played SR 3 yet.

Saints row the third is a gta like more based on the "fun" - the gameplay is like a gta with more stylish (aka less realistic) moves.
Saints row IV have a gameplay wich is nearer the one of a prototype gameplay.
Both are fun, but personnaly i prefer The Third over IV. Due to the super power i found the IV too easy, and repetitive (as we don't feel like using cars etc...) also the whole game of the IV is during some kind of "night" and it become boring over time.

I enjoyed both.

You need to remember one thing through. Saints Row 4 is not Saints Row 3 2.0 (you know, GTA 5 is GTA 4 2.0 - same old GTA, just bigger and all). SR4 has many things similar, but tons of different things than SR3.

Both are great and I think when on sale Saints Row Ultimate Franchise Pack is a great choice. Still, I prefer Saints Row The Third, for me it was more fun and had a better story :)

SR 3 is better by me. I play it cca 60 hours and IV.. idk... maybe 2h

Saints row 3 is very good game with fun gameplay and logical story.Saints row 4 is basically medium class combination of saints row 3 and prototype

3 is more like gta, 4 is a more fantasy in a virtual city with super power and all that stuff

You should play both. They're totally different, it's like comparing Grand Theft Auto to Prototype.

If you wanna play both in the future, start with 3. SR IV is better, it will be hard to switch from superpowers to cars :)
