So I just saw few people who have $0 given and $1000-5000+ Won... How does that make you feel personally?
Not trying to judge anyone but might just start making all giveaways lvl 1+ after seeing that.

Tbh, I do care, sometimes.
If I do better giveaways, lets say payday2, or project cars, I rather give it to someone who might acually enjoy and play it. As I seen it, seems like the higher levels are acually more intended to play the game, or try it (I'm fine if they don't like it lol)
As for worse bundle shitty gibs I don't give a fuck.

What s17tabris says is true, because most high levels have a higher chance of winning and tend to be in more groups because they have the means to create more GAs, they tend to win a lot of games 100+, 200+, 1000+, ... Even if their intentions are pure and they truly wish to play all those wins, a lot of good games tend to go unplayed. And a lot of them do justify +1ing or idling for cards because they give more. I'm not judging anyone just saying it as I observe it.

Entering giveaways without making any... is not against the rules.

For me, I like to see that they have contributed at least a little but I don't really care about ratios and such that much... especially when you consider that while there are always those who try to cheat the system, there are also some honestly bought something at full price and held onto it too long or else reached a certain CV and then had steam lower prices for some of the GAs. I try to make a fair number of my GAs as only level 1 to weed out the worst of the leeches. But I still make some GAs at other levels... so maybe it's just random/whatever mood I'm in. :-)

My ga"s are mostly lvl 3-4 not for the amount they need to have given for it, but the number of needes rerolls is for me acceptabel from there.

Not a big fan of leechers, gotta be honest. I feel like it's a courtesy to be level 1.
Personally I'd feel uncomfortable taking 1000 games and never even giving a single one.
But I can understand how certain people can view this site as just a game-grabbing tool.

I don't care as long as they're nice. $0 to $5000 is kinda rare in my experience but I remember one guy who won my giveaway with $5 to $3000. At first I thought WOAH NO but he turned out to be a really cool person, very polite, and so on, so who cares about those numbers. There are people who are higher levels but their ratio is still horrible, so idk, caring about it is a waste of time.

Honestly I don't care as long as they don't cause me problems with gift activation. I don't even blacklist them if they don't say thanks but always appreciate polite behavior. Also being polite can get you on my whitelist.
I was a lecher myself and think that everyone who has bank account can invest 1$ from time to time on a bundle to support this community and give something back :)

if they don't give away they can join less give aways. But I myself don't give that much away. It's because I don't have a job yet.

Makes me slightly sad but there are so many good examples of people giving, people being active and talkative so making my day better - it just doesn't matter. They won't give you stuff, they likely won't make your chances worse, so it's no use being worried about them :)

I didn't do lots of giveaways (yet), but I honestly don't care. Anyone can go and judge them as they like, but if the winner is a real person, I don't care at all if he has give back what he won or not.

But I completely disagree with bots and wouldn't think twice before selecting a new winner if I suspect that someone is using bots here.

It's primarily a site to win games - that's why I joined at first, and I entered everything. Besides, it's not against the rules, so they're not trying to scam anyone. (If they're not reselling the key anyway)

There are tons of good people among the ones that never made a giveaway - they may just never have gotten into the forum part, which can look a bit intimidating from the outside. Public giveaways often times feel impersonal - you enter a giveaway with no text from anyone, you win, a key pops up.

I'm sure that if all giveaways were done on the message boards, accompanied with discussions and people saying thank you, a lot more people would feel uncomfortable about not giving anything.

Personally? That is well within spirit of this website.

We give games because we want to give them. Doesn't matter if winner also want to give games.

I sure have more against high levels with inflated cv by low entry GA's.... That is gaming system to have access to high level ga's

I don't really understand how will you interpret what I say, but mostly it'd b a sarcasm

there's some type of ppl here in SG
first is pure nice person, they do AAA game GA with no single restriction to these lvl 0 ppl and don't even care how the winner treat the gift because they're.... pure nice person. but I'm confused, why don't they do mass giveaway or just give it straight to someone instead?
second is feedback seeker. they do GA for ulterior motive which is obvious, to level up so they have less competitive GA for game they wishlisted, this make me curious too, why they don't buy the game by themself instead of doing GA here?
third cautious person. this kind of person don't want leecher won their GA because they afraid the winner will sold their game instead of play it by themself.
fourth the collector, it's very common things here, with their "Collector's job is collecting, not doing something with what they collect" motto, they keep join random GA. but AFAIK, collector isn't someone who got their collection for free because it's the aesthetics of collector
5th good but poor, they're mean to do GA but because of lack of finance they can't do GA too often or do a expensive game GA, so they'll just do cheap bundled GA
6th autojoin scums, This one is worse version of collector, they're too lazy to do some click, so they use unethical way to join any GA using whatever script/addons or whatever it called to automated it
7th profitz seeker, "doesn't matter, profitz"

too exhausted to continue, please add some more if any

and I'm aware I'll get more BL

100% of your CV is private/group CV, but you are still enjoying GA from everyone, while almost no one can enjoy yours. For me it's more infuriating, because if i want to block the leechers, i use levels, but if i want to block people like you, I have to use sgtools and make private GA.

Apart from SGtools, all forum giveaways, such as trains and puzzles, are private. These are usually very welcome by forum goers, so I don't see why people look down on private giveaways.

While I agree that it's cool to do stuff for the forum, doing only for the forum while enjoying everyone GA is for me in the same vein that what he is explaying. It's like a group : a small number of people only.

Forum giveaways are available to everyone. Anyone on SG can go into the forum and get into them. So even though they are technically private, they are in effect public. The same goes for group giveaways in public groups than anyone can join.

Some people can't afford them, some are really cheap.
A lot of these games here are the leftovers from bundles they bought and don't want.
I wish I'd have known about this place a long time ago because there have been a ton of great games I had and tossed the extra keys.

level1+ ga = problem solved

but you won't solve issues like 100% region-locked giveaways, people using developer keys to farm cv, people exploiting useless software to level up, humble bundle monthly farms, people with 90% private/group giveaways that leech from public all the time. and people entering to +1 their library, probably the worst kind of plague lately on sg

if you start to dig too much, you will notice a lot of stuff that's "wrong" here. just get used to it and find a way to give away your games that makes you happy.

You forgot card farming, they won't enter if there is no cards ;-)

And imho worst ones are probably those that don't activate keys on their own account...

I have enough actual things to worry about in life than care about something like that. I join giveaways to try and win fun games that I maybe can't afford or never heard of. I give away games to help my CV, make use of unused keys or share a game I think is interesting with others.

When it comes to Steam and Steam related things I just care about gaming, not other people's morality.
