First things first...
The price! I mean, even if they can't actually do proper currency conversions internationally (anyone know the reason for this? I know games have their reasons for bullshit poor price conversions - but what about the hardware? Is it a tax thing?)
Second thing - They has games! And I can buy used games without restrictions.
I would LOVE to see, as I think someone mentioned above or may have mentioned on the stream, a cloud-based netflix-style back catalogue subscription service - That would, in some way, make up for their lack of backwards compatible support for me, because I could try many new things I otherwise wouldn't as well as play a lot of my old games. Sony - make it happen!
Honestly, so long as they don't majorly screw something up between now and release I am happy that there is a console I will be glad to own in the next generation. I've been a console gamer most of my life and yet - this gen was looking very sketchy in terms of big-name hardware.
Needing PSN to play online multiplayer? Doesn't bother me because I don't play online much, but PS+ has always seemed great value to me, and if they don't raise the price on it it will offer a lot of value.
oh and finally, it looks terrible and reminds me of an old PS2 that has been run over...and I love that. Screw aesthetics!

Every tech is overpriced in Europe in comparison to the US. I could say the same for most of the other countries probably too since my Singaporean friend shopped like never before back when he was in the US. Here 1 dollar = 1 euro is the most common conversion, sadly. We're not richer than the US.

That's the thing. I'm from the UK and the prices here aren't great (though usually they're nicer than European conversions) but...It's not like we're bursting at the seams with cash? If it were a market size thing I could understand for the UK but for ALL Europe? Are console sales that low on this continent as opposed to the American one?
If there is a sound economical or market reason for this I REALLY want to know. If there isn't one, surely it harms their sales not accurately converting!?
I'M CONFUSED!!!

It's funny the PS event(to me.) was the best but it didn't really announce much exclusive wise.
-Showed off some gameplay for games we knew about
-It announced ONLY one new IP. The Santa Monica game. And that is it.
-It announced indie games to come to PS4.
-It announced FF15/KH3(Which aren't exclusive...)
-It announced no used games/always online.
-It sadly announced PSN+ is needed to play multiplayer games.
I'm already a PSN+ member(and my sub doesn't even run out until early 2015) but damn... kinda sucks you NEED a sub now. :/
The event was pretty awesome(It beat MS yet showed a lot less Quite weird.), but the you must have PSN+ thing bugs me...
Hopefully Tokyo Games show they will announce more games.
EDIT: -It also announced a cheaper price then the Xbone.
Xbone = 100$ more to always have to use your internet and not have used games.
Quite awful.

Yeah. I LOVE PSN+
But now instead of me willing buying it like I was before, I will be forced to do it... and that kinda bugs me.

2 years of PSN+ is those $100 more. You also get free games and shit

I'm only speculating but, I can't help but feel the days of huge exclusives of massive franchises are drawing to an end now that both MS and Sony are using PC-style hardware. Devs are going to find it much easier, presumably, to port between Playstation, XBox and PC and so it would have to be a pretty sweet deal to get a dev to cut their potential available market and develop exclusively for one over another.
Also, I'd hope (and I am hoping!) that Sony are playing it safe in not announcing new IPs. While there is obviously going to be a next-gen sequelfest - and that it's safer for Sony to sell existing hype than it is to have to create entirely new hype, you have to hope (and I'd say expect - or I shall be disappoint...) for many new, and original titles to be announced later! Preferably exclusives! :P

And if anyone is surprised at Sony requiring a paid membership for online multiplayer, they really shouldn't be. That was incredibly obvious that it was coming someday after the whole mess with the leaked data. Keeping it free would be shooting themselves in the foot.
It's not just that they are doing it because Microsoft showed that people will pay for it. It's because servers cost money and there's plenty Sony has to provide to continue to support multiplayer and that's not exactly free. They have to have servers, they have to provide support for customers, deal with cheaters, maintain the network, keep customer data secure, etc.
They definitely can't force everyone to pay to have an account, but they sure can make sure that the people who will use the most bandwidth pay to cover costs.

The last time i heard about FFVsXIII, it was supposed to be an exclusive. Title changed to FFXV, but as we know, it might still be an exclusive.
About the ps+ thing, I'm dissapointed, with the price of the dollar in my country (U$D1=AR$5 officially, but it really is U$D1=AR$10, + 15% tax of international purchase, that they charge here in Argentina.) i am only able to buy one or two games a year when they are around U$D25, it would be hard to pay an extra subscription to play online.

More like yep! Versus is being made with Sony money. Really doubt that it isnt a exclusive.

So why didn't they say EXCLUSIVELY on PS4 for it at E3?
Companies love saying EXCLUSIVE. I don't know why they would not say it there, nor say it in the twitter. :p

Some things are still probably being worked up behind the scenes between SE and Sony. According with a user at Neogaf( a trusted insider that already leaked things that were true before) FF XV is exclusive to PS4 and Sony is trying to get exclusivity for KH 3(though the game is being developed as a multiplatform)

Well hope it's true.
Would make this event a lot better since a lot of the stuff announced was multiplatform.
Was still a damn good event though.

welp. boggles my mind, after so much time being a PS3 exclusive and having quite a lot of advertisement for it. So KH III is probably multiplatform too(though Im guessing it will appear on Wii U rather than Xbox One) But I think that surely there is a PS4 exclusive from Square Enix coming. Rumor is that there is a KH spinoff that will be released in 2014...

Yeah... it is weird. I thought Sony had a deal with them.
I hope PS4 at least gets exclusive content for them.
Comment has been collapsed.
why the hell even bother releasing KH on Xbox?lol, I mean, I can see it selling loads on PS4 and Wii U. It is where their target audience are, after all. Not really seeing many sale for the Xbone version. But yeah, if there isnt some sort of exclusive content or a exclusive Square Enix game down the line, Sony really dropped the ball in the negotiations with SE.

wow sony just dazzled me , nice game and nice policy simply wow very hype for this new gen

I'm not gonna lie, that trailer was incredibly underwhelming.
Ik, 2014-15 release, still in development... but those graphics looked worse to me. Too cartoon-y.

Apparently I'm the only person who doesn't care about the console wars all that much, I can build a better PC for the same price.
Although, I do kind of want the Xbox One controller for PC, I'm gonna buy Burnout over the summer if it goes on sale and having a controller would be nice.

One last thing to add.
:D

I'd say quite a few of those PC things are wrong. (Obviously biased.)
And 499$ for a PC?
Even the Xbone would have a better GPU I'm pretty sure.

erm, normal PS accounts get discounts, sales and demos too.

I hear this is 3 hours long. O_o no idea though.
Sony and PC are sharing quite a few exclusives.(many F2P games.) So this should be interesting.
Sony will probably show Infamous Second Son gameplay, more Knack and Killzone gameplay, and some Beyond 2 Souls.
Rumors to be exclusive: Bloody Roar, KH3, FF13vs(FF15.)[Also pretty likely], Fallout4(Ha.), Demon's Souls 2.
