Easy pass - not very interesting Steam games (- 2 versions of pong -really?) and I don't fully understand the cause something French on Strike (when do France not have a fight about something in their county?)

keep in mind that itch.io doesn't always promise Steam keys. Most of the itch.io charity bundles ONLY provide drm-free

Last bundle with Steam keys did get re -stocked but it took a long time and it was very hit and miss

The itch page doesn't do a great job of explaining the strike, but they do provide a link to more info.

Just in case anyone is curious.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_developed_in_France
15 games in 38 years (and that's including a remaster)

This list seems weirdly incomplete. For one thing, why are none of the Ubisoft Montpellier games on there?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubisoft_Montpellier
Some decent titles here!
Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, Detroit Become Human) is also a French company, I believe.
Comment has been collapsed.
Quantic Dream was founded in Paris indeed, although TIL it's been bought off by NetEase in 2022, becoming its first European studio.
NetEase is a Chinese company better known for Marvel Rivals recently, but also Naraka: Bladepoint and Once Human.

"This list is incomplete; you can help by adding missing items. (March 2016)"
Yeah, understatement.
1 Ubisoft game (XIII)
2 Don't Nod
2 Asobo
1 Microids
0 Arkane
0 Quantic Dream
0 Dotemu
0 Amplitude
0 Motion Twin / Evil Empire
0 The Game Bakers
And for publishers:
2? Focus Entertainment
0 Nacon
0 Gameloft
There are only 2 cross-platform mobile games on there, and that alone is ridiculous.
These will also be incomplete, but less embarrassingly so:

You could also add ARTE France (French division of a French-German TV channel) but I guess most of these would fall into the "serious games" category which the list is intentionally leaving out. Also why is English the sole available language on a list about French stuff?
The Games Made In France sale was the first thing I thought of (although I was thinking about the GOG one).

I don't know if the wiki list is doing anything intentionally. It's probably just not maintained at all.
Here's the GOG sale from 2021:
https://web.archive.org/web/20211128000055/https://www.gog.com/partner/Made_In_France
And the website for Jeux Made In France has some more recent ones, like Empire of the Ants, The Smurfs: Dreams, and Machinika: Atlas.

Most likely just not being maintained yes, I wasn't trying to imply anything being done intentionally.

Oh, is it? I thought educational ones would be called that, too. Type:Rider for example, while "just" being a platformer, has a lot of information about the history of typography. Vandals does a similar thing with a turn-by-turn puzzle and the history of street art.

Also why is English the sole available language on a list about French stuff?
That's the English Wikipedia. Let's assume that most readers don't know or have any interests in the French language.

I think you misunderstood. Most articles would have localized versions in various languages. This article being about something French, I would have expected it to have a French version. I am not saying that English readers would want to read it in French, that's a whole other thing.

I'm really sorry. I thought you meant the original game name in French or something similar.
Let's wait for someone to create the corresponding article in French.

Oh you're right! Thanks for pointing it out, don't know if I'd have noticed otherwise.

While as I'm not really that interested in the games, I am interested in the strike and their goals.
I work a menial job, and just yesterday a ton of my co-workers got laid off. Because we're not high enough up in the company there was no warning, so no one who got hit had any time at all to plan for it. In a society where people respected each other instead of just the almighty $ they would have been told in advance so they could be prepared, instead they were rounded up and walked out like potential thieves/criminals. I don't know how it is in France, but in the USA this kind of thing is very common with publicly traded companies, and the only way it'll ever change is if the laws themselves do.
EDIT: Seems to require linking Steam account to itch io for the Steam keys? Never seen that in previous itch bundles.

I'm really sory this happened to you, the US do sound really brutal in that regard, and I'm not sure it's going to get any better in the upcoming years...
As far as I know France has better laws in terms of worker protection, even if they're still very far from being perfect.
Striking is hard, but so far it does remain one of the best options to draw media attention and public aknowledgment of unfair situations in the workplace... And strike funds, like the one this bundle is tied to, helps striking workers with their daily expenses while they're not making any money working in an unsatisfying way. It's a display of solidarity between working class people.
As for your edit, no, I don't believe steam linking is required. You just get keys to reveal once you've purchased the bundle (the ones that they haven't run out of yet, at least).

Sorry about the job.. what part of the country do you live in? also if steam link is required, it is not required to redeem the key - maybe to show it? maybe i linked it a long time ago but don't think i did... but i would think its a good idea to have links in case someone is buying keys for resale (not supe likely with this bundle but who knows)

Hey, sorry I didn't see your post since you replied to another reply.
I live in the upper middle of the country (Wisconsin), around the Minnesota border.
And yea it seems you need to link to a steam account before it'll let you reveal the key, but after that you can just grab them like normal. I only really intended to grab the Vignettes Steam key in this case, but seems they don't actually have any, which is kind of a bummer but oh well. Like I said, mostly just wanted to support the cause in this case.

Waiting on keys for Vignettes, Buissons - Supporter Edition, and Froggy's Battle.

I'm missing:
Vignettes (still out of stock)
and also
Froggy's Battle.
But i could redeem Froggy now, so there is new stock it seems! Be fast! :D
