If the answer was the amount of money I had I would be in crippling debt

Welp, i don't get it, tried to do the equation on a calculator, then on paper and then checked with Chatgpt, none of the answers gave a "right" answer, since either the result was negative or just wrong, idk what the solve is!!!!

I thought I knew what I was doing, but came out with a massive negative number.

Thanks. Time really does feel like it speeds up as you get older. Can't believe I've been here for 10 years :)

You still need to fix your math, I'm afraid. Despite your hint saying otherwise, the answer is most definitely negative. Since you're only using subtraction and multiplication, the order of operation rules are abundantly clear. You end up with a 10-digit number minus a 15-digit number. The result is a negative number that itself has 15 digits!
If you meant for a different order of operations, you need to add some parentheses.
I have no idea how a 15-digit negative number turns into a giveaway code. :)

I tought the same thing at first, but i was wrong, same as you. Math actually checks out.

How so? Multiplication/division always comes before addition/subtraction in the absence of parentheses. SO the equation above is exactly equivalent to:
(11681 x 119869) - 60422 - 17860 - 35433 - (94116 x 4993 x 595073)
Those last three numbers multiply together and get subtracted from the rest. Right to left, left to right, it doesn't matter. The grouping caused by the order of operations is all that matters.

Its not my place to give hints, but the fact that people got in should tell you the math is mathing.

I haven't solved it yet but someone solved it already. You're just thinking way too narrow-minded, similar to his previous puzzle where if you only thought about it like math, you weren't getting it. It's obvious the math is returning a negative number if you do it according to normal PEMDAS, anyone with the internet/wolfamalpha can tell you that so there's clearly something else going on.
edit: got it. oh lord-y me that one was a tough one.

I think I get it, but Im not at a computer at the moment
Edit: solved the first one
Double edit: fully solved.

it's not math, it's better because it's twchiu math (aka kinda "math")!

Greetings, fellow math enthusiasts!
The weekend is near, and it's time to assign some math work!
11681 x 119869 - 60422 - 17860 - 35433 - 94116 x 4993 x 595073 = ?
Lv2, Ends June 17
Hints will be here, if necessary.
3436 characters long! The most important part in this puzzle is realize that the answer you're looking for is sgtools code.
Instead of subtraction, we treat the symbol '-' as a hyphen, which is part of the code.
So the two step you need. First, do the multiplication, leave you 5 numbers separate by symbol '-'.
Next, convert these numbers to hexadecimal, then you have the answer.
Most people probably didn't realize this is sgtools format or it consists of hexadecimal numbers.
It's indeed rare to see people manipulate the sgtools code.
But I can't help thinking about the hyphen symbol in the math puzzle, it's a perfect fit!
Speak of the math. the second part of the puzzle is an actual math question, generated by this site.
It should be easy if you're familiar with these math equations, if not, there are plenty of online tools you can use(mathgpt, wolfram, etc..).
That's all! Hope you enjoy the puzzle, I'll probably go back to 5-character code next time.
edit.
As someone point out I made a mistake in hint2, it should be 36 not 34!
