On sunday the 25th I am obliged by family and tradition to baptise my twins (born on july 20th 2015)...
Being an atheist myself, I very much enjoy making puns out of any religion possible, so enjoy the poll.

There will be a weeklong countdown towards the 25th with a nice little train and daily giveaway's (just in case the church explodes and I won't be able to give out the keys from the train)

PLEASE NOTE: I am taking all this religion bull with lots of humour...
If you're dead serious about it, please refrain and try to laugh...

Train SGTools protected, circumvention will lead to reroll...

small choo-choo for <3 and select groups...
Please do not beg for WL, like some other people here, I like to ninja <3 if you do/comment something I like/love...
Nagging for WL will probably get you BL...

- Another quickie added for my whitelist only
Oh, it seems the Whitelist fairy has passed by again...(this one ends sunday)

Will the church explode and the gates of hell open up?

Yes they will, and the Devil will come out to devour you!
Yes they will, and a fight between god, the angels, the devil and his minions will start... It will be Epic!
No it won't, you are insignificant to either god or the devil... (Goes back to play Ant Farm)
No it won't, religion is bull... (gets struck down by Mjölnir)
Potato?
Never mind god and the devil, the Flying Spaghetti Monster will make an appearance and give out delicious nooodles for all... Let's pray: Ramen
Potato Noodles...
Off course not, your twins are the cutest and their cuteness will save the world...

When I was a kid my mom took me to church every Sunday, did baptism, communion, etc even though none of us are believers, it was "just what you're supposed to do" she said, her family would have freaked out if she didn't. At some point, when I was 12 or so, we had that conversation and decided to stop going. Nobody exploded into flames or anything. And at least I had the experience of seeing how people live within the religious world. Good luck :)

I remember question priest asked when one girl didn't want to get confirmation:

And how are you supposed to get marry?!

There are civil marriages?

And both he and my religion teacher exploded into "sacrilege! D:" mode. And she took it in the end, she didn't want to deal with this shit for next year, when we were supposed to graduate from middleschool >_<

Hope your kids won't have problems like that when they will be older :D

They will learn to have principles of their own, but also to be wise enough to compromise when needed (daddy is lacking in that department, but has learned it the hard way, while mommy makes up for it :D ). Like now, they go to a catholic school, as it is the best school in the neighbourhood (wanted to send them to Freinet school, but the only one in the locality sucks, and later on, when they are older and can travel further, they can choose their own school (as long as it is one that has good credentials, and teaches them well in their chosen craft for their future)

You shouldn't do it. Raise your children to be intelligent people, not some retards.

Thet are raised to be critical and intelligent, but letting some old superstitious man splash some water, and drinking lots of good wine afterwards is a small price to pay for a peace with the inlaws ;)

a small price to pay

Except you have to pay for most of the sacraments xD And it's never cheap xD

Who cares. If it makes them feel good, great. Religion is magic anyway. Let them splash their magic water. It's harmless.

Sounds a lot better than the usual family reunion to me. Not only do you get to sit quietly without having to talk to anyone, it's actually preferred.
