Will the church explode and the gates of hell open up?

its like the old saying "Children are a blessing - twins are a curse"... someone said that right? I'm sure that someone has definitely said that!

Oh goody... a religion topic on the forums.... can we talk politics next?
I find atheists just as obnoxious (if not more so) than religious nut cases (yes, including the praise jesus i speak in tongues, or the i slapped your forehead and imbued your soul with christ so you feint nut cases - are these things real? I don't believe so, but the power of the human mind and its control over the body is quite amazing and the non-real experience may physically seem very real).
As an agnostic, I believe that it is currently impossible to know whether there is a god or not. Ass such, I acknowledge the limits of human perception and am fully prepared to embrace whichever side of the argument - either atheism or religion - when there is substantial proof/evidence.
When an atheist makes the bold claim that there definitely is no god, they imply that human perception is not limited and that they are afforded the intellectual right to make such claims about the universe.
The problem in the religious argument is simply that people of faith and people who outright dismiss religion fall into the same trap. Believers and Atheists are actually quite similar in mindset, albeit on the opposite side of the spectrum.
I find it comical when believers debate atheists. Believers talk about how their religious texts prove this, prove that, this and the other thing. Atheists lean on man's limited understanding of the universe through science and say 'there is no proof that god exists - therefor there is no god'. Atheists try to make the case that science is on their side through intellectual dishonesty while claiming to have superior intellect! LOL. The truth of the matter is that - there is no proof that a god(creator) exists, yet there is no proof that a god(creator) does not exist.
But probably the last thing that everyone here (myself included) wants to hear, are unsolicited religious opinions - so I will simply say my family is also very religious (I was also that way once upon a time - until I got outside of the USA bible belt - and did a lot of foreign travel) and I have learned to accept their misguided attempts to 'convert' me back to christianity whenever I speak with them via phone or go to family gatherings. But I have come to understand through time that those attempts are only done out of love and wanting (what they believe to be) the best for me (since their belief in the after-life and all). You should probably put your personal 'intellectual' beliefs aside and understand their intent behind their actions.
Above all else though, I do enjoy a good ol round of discussions that induce critical thinking and questioning ideas and beliefs but at the end of the day I believe we should not try to convert each other into our line of thought but rather to celebrate our differences in ideology. And if you don't agree to that - you can fuck off! :D
Thank you for the train, I won't be entering because - religion and stuff - but thank you none-the-less.

To start, TL;DR WoT...
It seems you have jumped at the title of my topic and failed to read it, so you didn't see the sarcasm intended...
it also states (in bold none the less) the following:
PLEASE NOTE: I am taking all this religion bull with lots of humour...
If you're dead serious about it, please refrain and try to laugh...
So you didn't read, or you would have known to refrain...

It is really sad indeed...
Some people really fail to see it's about a wonderfull day with family, while bragging over my kids (also, lots of booze) and giving something to the community (games, who doesn't like games?)
Hope you enjoyed the train and win something ;) I'd try out the <3 one out if I were you ;)

Bumpity bump. Thanks for the gibs.
Personally, I'm a Buddhist, and I'm pretty passive about the religion thing. I feel that one should take the time to do as much research as one wants to about all possible religions and make an informed decision from there. My parents passed on their beliefs but never pressured me so I'm pretty terrible in terms of practicing but that's the great thing about being a Buddhist...I can be as inactive as I want and still be considered a "good" Buddhist haha.

well, happy baptism i guess, good luck your not from a jewish family, the hole circumcision thing is much more controversial, they are just getting a free bath :P

You should consider broadening you horizons if you hate kids. Baptism gone wrong is a great excuse for "unintentional" drownings.

Oh come on! You know that the Craft Cheese and Macaroni deity is better than a Ramen deity. So much cheesy golden comfort food goodness!

With all the references to religion as bull, I was really hoping for a Mithras pun.

And the reason why the 'church won't explode', in a word is: Grace.
Thanks for sharing the fun / train.
