Look at how many, on average, have entered a giveaway for any given game. Now take 1/that number and you'll roughly get the chance of winning giveaways for that game. More people tend to enter giveaways when they are nearly done (due to the giveaways showing up on the front page).

Note that public giveaways tends to get more than 1000 people entering, unless it's for a game that a large portion of the community already own (like say Tropico 4)

Yes, 1:200, if there are 200 entries.

Sir, the possibility of successfully winning giveaway is approximately 3,720 to 1! Artoo says that the chances of winning are 725 to 1. Actually Artoo has been known to make mistakes... from time to time... Oh dear...

I can count to potato.

But seriously. Your odds are 1 out of : (# of entries / # of copies)

It's 50/50! Either you win or you lose!

Seriously though, it's 1:number of entries, assuming one copy.

You have 1 chance on [amount of entries on the giveaway].
So it depends on which giveaways you enter.

1 in n where n is number of entries. That means if you only enter GAs with 1000 entries on AVERAGE you will will after 1000 entries BUT you could win after 1 or never win.

This is all very basic maths, do they not teach it a school any more?

Example:

500 Entries

1 of 500 chances of win

500 Entries ( 2 Copies )

2 of 500 Chances of Win
