I'll just tell you my favorite games of all time, neatly categorized by genre:
Action-adventure: Prince of Persia The Sands of Time - the entire trilogy is pretty awesome and you should most certainly check it out, but the first one is definitely the best, as close to perfection as a game could ever get.
Sand-box action: Grand Theft Auto IV - while technically, Sand Andreas is a more fun game, the incredible story, the amazing looking city and one of the best, most likable(lovable even) protagonists in video game history make this game the best in the GTA franchise(for me, at least).
3.Stealth-action: Thief Deadly Shadows - I see you own the original Thief, but never played it. Definitely start with that and work your way up. Best stealth series, by far(although I do like Splinter Cell too).
4.Linear third-person shooters: Max Payne 2(the entire series is awesome, of course, and you should play it in order), but just for the sake of its story, I'll make you a second recommendation and that is Spec Ops The Line, a game inspired by the genius novel, Heart of Darkness, whose story will send chills down your spin(more than any survival-horror game ever made) and make you disgusted with yourself for the things the game has made you do. Not to mention that it has the added bonus of putting those awful pseudo-realistic military shooter pieces of garbage(Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and 3 or Black Ops, Medal of Honor, Battlefield, etc.) to shame for glorifying war. I see you only have 1.6 hours on record. WHY??? Get to playing it!!!! IT'S GREAT!!!!!!!
5.Arcade Racing games: you've already played a little of what is probably the best one on Steam, Need Speed Hot Pursuit. Best one ever is NFS Underground 2, but good luck finding it cause it's not on Origin and not even on GoG...
6.Real Time Strategy: best one ever is Red Alert 2, but on Steam, the best I can recommend is World in Conflict, a forgotten gem that's rarely on sale with a price reduction bigger than 40%, but which I absolutely love and own a hard copy of. It's absolutely amazing. But I see you already own some great RTS games like the Stronghold series and Warhammer 40k Dawn of War and, since you barely touched them, I guess this particular genre isn't your cup of tea.
7.Role playing games: I see you have some hours in the 2 Mass Effect games. Play some more of that. My favorite on Steam is The Witcher. I see you own that one too. It's great, and you should play a lot more of it than 2 hours: dark mature story, great characters, fun game-play, gratuitous nudity, moderate amounts of gore, sick looking monsters, the kind of thing you'd get Tarantino to direct if you'd turn into a movie. I don't know why you didn't like it.
8.Action-RPG: I see you own Deus Ex Human Revolution. Good... Get the original Deus Ex cause it's ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER MADE and it's at a flea market price right now. And after you finish it, go play some more Human Revolution, cause it's pretty awesome too. Let's not talk about Invisible War(the second Deus Ex game) cause it's not worth it.
9.Fighting: I dunna...just get the new Mortal Kombat, pretty awesome gore it has. But if you like something less gory, more anime style and in 2d, Guilty Gear X2 is the way to go.
10.Platformers: play some more Mark of the Ninja, if you haven't finished it, cause it's definitely the best.
11.Puzzle games: no contest there...WORLD OF MOTHERFUCKING GOO. 0.2 hours on record????? Are you kidding me??? Go and finish that game my son cause it's so totally awesome. Unless your some kind of extreme prodigy and finished it in that time, case in which I congratulate you.
12.Survival-horror: 1 hour in Dead Space and none in Dead Space 2???? GET TO IT. It's a game where you dismember monstrous undead creatures which can walk without a head if you decapitate them and you fight against a bunch of religious nut-cases who want the entire galaxy to feel the joy of being undead, basically a bunch of retards who worship a zombie making artifact. How is that not awesome?
13.First Person Shooters: Finally, we get to my favorite and most played genre. Here I'll make more recommendations cause it's just too hard to choose from. So here they are: F.E.A.R, Bioshock, Half Life 2(I see you already played it so nevermind), S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl, Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Call of Duty 2(yes, back then it was AWESOME), Painkiller. I see you already own the first one and barely playedit . DO IT, cause it has the most incredible enemy AI you'll ever see in a video game. You played Bioshock Infinite and not the original??? WHY???? Also, you played Call of Pripyat. Get Shadow of Chernobyl as well and play the hell out of it. These are the absolute best of the best, but I can make a lot more suggestions from this genre and I'm too lazy to search whether you own them or not: Borderlands series, Far Cry 1 and 3, Crysis, Bulletstorm, Doom 3, Serious Sam series, Shadow Warrior, etc.
For other genres like adventure games, turn-based strategy or grand-master strategy, simulation or casual you'll have to ask someone else, cause none of those are my cup of tea.
P.S. Not to insult you, but I see you have more than 19 hours in Call of "Dudy" Modern War-shit 2. If you're the kind of person that enjoys a game like that for so long, then I doubt you'll be into any of my suggestions. Hope I was of help, though. Happy New Year!

Thanks for the suggestions! And I played MW2 when I was naive. I agree that CoD 2 was and is far superior.

if you like Racing games, you should check out Assetto Corsa.
you have Insurgency but I think you're not putting enough time on it. It's the best FPS game imo. I prefer teambased games, Insurgency plays inbetween Arma and BF series. it's not your usual FPS game.
you also have Bastion but I also think you haven't put time on playing it, it's a great game with a really good storyline.
you should also play more Dead Space and Alan Wake, both have good gameplay and storyline, especially Alan Wake.

I would definitely look into Assetto Corsa later on, it is out of my reach at this moment.

Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I last posted on this forum and I have a question for you all.
What are some games that I should be checking out before the sale is over?
Please check my games before you make a suggestion to filter out games I already own.
If I already own a game that you want to suggest and I have not put much time into it, please explain why I should put more time into it in the new year!
Thanks!
