But how am I o know? Is there some way to see the global WL/BL balance? If not, I think, that each one of us should be responsible just for our own actions. What if there are too many nasty and unreasonable people around, that are whitelisting you right now, instead of blacklisting??!

But what, if you are wrong, and after your call all of us will make things even more unbalanced by casting in best conscience the additional blacklist votes?

Well I can only speak for my own situation like you said and it's very far from being balanced. I'd imagine the root cause for all these problems is banishing Konrad which removed so many blacklists from the tapestry at once that it started to rip apart.
