Red Orchestra Collection [Question]

K to cut to the chase, Steam is selling the red Orchestra collection for 12 Dollars, Is the game worth buying it? Is there a good amount of people playing the MP? I already know how orchestra is when steam launched it F2P weekend last time.

or there's a better game than this 1??? : I Prefer almost the same type of game and setting of WW2 (Don't mention either CoD or BF cuz i have both and im tired of them)

lol, how is it dying? I always play it from time to time and there are always server with dozens of players. And the Workshop is coming soon!

It's only gonna revive the game, there are plenty servers with fair amount of players, I'm getting RO2 now, I used a guest pass yesterday and I'm buying it now

If you liked it, and can't wait for a 75% off sale, then go for it. I don't know of any similar game that's better.

As for how many people are playing MP, Red orchestra 2 is still in the top 100 most played games on Steam, so finding people to play with shouldn't be a big problem.

There are still enough players and the workshop will come out soon. You shouldnt buy the collection. When you have RO2 you dont need RO1 and the deluxe upgrade for RO2 is just some weopons unlocked at the begining.

If you dont have Killing floor , The ball and dwarfes yet you should get the tripwire interactive bundle.

Personally I enjoy RO2 and if I can get into a full server in my region then it's 'alive' enough for me. Problem is if you're from Australia then goodluck even managing to play with the ping. It'll probably be 75% when the next update happens. When is that? I don't know. Maybe in 2 months. Then Rising Storm is supposed to be released either the end of this year or early next. Which will be I'm guessing making a 'bundle' with removing RO2's standalone off the store. I'm guessing $30 when it's released.

I should add when Rising Storm is released RO2 won't be sold alone. RO2 owners will be able to play Rising Storm, but with limited features. Rising Storm's purchase will give RO2 as well.

so Rising storm is a expansion of RO2? or its a mod? or its the next game from the same dev like arma 2 type of expansion??

Originally the plan was "If it's good enough it'll be an expansion" rather than a free "Add on" to the game. I doubt it'll be more than $30 with RO2+Rising Storm. They'd be stupid to try and bundle it for $40.

K, and when you guys think the expansion will launch more or less?? it says 2012 that's all (could not find any more info about it) I might get the bundle now that it cost 11 bucks and expansion would be same prize more or less so il be using like 20 dollars in total in the end

My best guess would be before the holiday season. If not then probably around March. One of the devs also said that RO2 owners will be able to purchase Rising Storm at a high discount.

Also to add that you don't need the collectors. Sure unlock weapons, but you can easily get them.

RO2 is really amazing game. Mainly for people which want hard game with teamplay, without kids, and where main requirements are brain and tactic.

Steam workshop probably come out soon, also soon will be released Rising Storm mod
