For all who may have the same issue:
After first step I got an 404 error an nowhere was something like localhost...
I stepped back to the steam login and did the same step again. After that I got the "needed" error including the localhost url.

I know this is old but does it still work for anyone?

This method is sadly dead, they took down the anniversary site and going through wayback machine doesn't work. The recent news of Nights into Dreams being delisted on steam soon, they probably took down this method to ensure no one abuses it even more. Unless someone want figure out how to crack it, this method is dead.

This game is getting delisted on the 6th of december, so its good to catch it while you can
