I watched a youtube video talking about this game (among other ones) just the other day and the guy said it was an interesting horror title as long as you lowered the difficulty to the easiest one, that otherwise it was more annoying than scary. It might be worth getting it for that price, thanks for the info.

Mmm not really. Most of the ghosts encounters are locked behind Hard difficulty, so even on Normal you won't meet them. Playing on very easy and easy modes removes even more ghosts and prevents from obtaining extra route (and its endings).
The main issue with the game is annoying Janitor, who acts pretty much the same way as xenomorph in Alien Isolation (or Mr X in RE2 Remake). Maybe that's what the person in your video talked about as on lower difficulties he appears less.

Yeah he was mostly complaining that the janitor enemy caused too much downtime, his argument was that the main strength of the game was its atmosphere and that being forced into hiding too frequently didn't add much to the experience.
