Yeah, I also bought the bundle that had it in tier 3 mostly because of it, which isn't so bad since now I have really no reason to get this month's bundle and I will skip it for the first time since I subscribed years ago.
It's the one I enjoyed the most out of this batch. The setting is good and it has a great balance between tension and humour as well as some interesting mechanisms. As someone who strongly dislikes horror games, this is one of the very few I've enjoyed.
The only downside is that the story is a bit bare bone, the premise is interesting but they introduce a lot of elements that haven't really been adressed by the end of the story

Is it okay to play reasonably "started" games for this? (You'd define what is a reasonable one)
For example I played a bit of Shrouded Isle with no achievements and no ending, and will likely take multiple runs to finish once. Or played 2 minutes of Minit and got one cheevo, Pillars of Eternity having 14 h after running idly but having a single trivial cheevo, etc ( Playing Black Mesa again from the start would be hard to properly track)
Also: If a remaster was a bundle, is the original okay as well? ( Red Faction Guerrila, Hard Reset)

Sorry but the answer is 0. It has to be a fresh start because then I'm stuck making judgment calls and it is a lot easier to be fair to everyone by disallowing all of them rather than pick and choosing. Idle time for card farming is okay. Everything else is not allowed.

I would have to say no to this one as well. I understand the logic of why it should be, but the issue I have is that "remaster" can mean a lot of different things depending on the developer. If it was just a simple graphical upgrade, then it would be fine, but these newer editions also tend to add new things, make part of the game easier/harder, etc. So for this reason, I'm going to have to say no. Sorry.

Been meaning to ask, but wondering how the 100% was for 11-11. I beat the game with one story line, but didn't really go after the collectibles. I enjoyed the game, but I think some parts of it were a bit weird. Like the puzzles were either crazy easy or I just had to guess because I didn't know what it wanted. Considering going after the 100% in that game and Voodoo garden which I am doing for your challenge haha.

I don’t remember any of it being especially hard but some of it was time consuming - one achievement in particular you have to replay at least 3-4 sections (the graves one), and the other ones that took a bit of time was getting all the endings, and all the collectibles. I think the guides on steam were sufficient enough for me to do it without needing any external references.
EDIT: seeing you didn't try to go after collectibles on your first run, you'll likely have to go through the whole game again. It's not a big deal, cos you'll likely have to do most of that for the missing achievements anyway. You're best off trying to systematically get all the collectibles while trying to do the achievements for each chapter as well. there will be those last chapter(s) you'll need to repeat to get the different endings.

Yup, I pretty much just went through the gameplay the first time since I didn't want to have to follow a guide the time through it. I did a little bit of searching but when I got to the end I had missed tons of things. I started quite late on this challenge so I'll probably do it after I finish it, but for now I'm keeping it installed so I go back and do it.

Would've really liked to participate for Persona 4 but after setting up the shortest games I could play for this, I've realized that there's no way I would make the time limit anyway since I have a life outside Steam to manage too. Hello hello and welcome all to the madness.
The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in one month.
The prize: 2x Persona 4 Golden
Note: This means I'm giving away two copies of the game and will have 2 winners.
Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.
Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.

Why you doing this?
I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for nearly five years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.
Why six games?
The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.
How long are you going to do this?
Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.
This event "ends" on August 7th when the next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the next day. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time. It may be hard to believe, but I don't live here. I am a real human living in a human home doing human things and in no way an alien invading learning all your weakeness.
