I have an experiment with magnets that proves this guy wrong. I decided to say that both magnets are male, instead of having one male pole and one female pole. If you aproach two male magnets, they'll attract. Same if both magnets were female. Science. Now where's my prize money?

It's quite alarming how ignorant and lacking in reason that people can be when it comes to things like homophobia and religious beliefs. It's both pathetic and frightening.

Referring to homosexuality as a "problem" is just plain wrong also. Close to every animal practices homosexuality and, way before that damn Christ guy came along, we practiced homosexuality. A lot. I mean, we had sex with male children left and right back in the Classical Era. Why the Hell is it a problem now? Because God says so? Jupiter or Zeus didn't have a problem with it. For God's sake, Venice and Florence practiced homosexuality in the Renaissance.

Also, according to the Bible, only a man cannot lie with a man as he does a woman. There is nothing stated condemning a woman not to lay with a woman as she does a man. Here's the text:

"And if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

Even if we ignore the obvious sexism in this, we still come up with a problem. If we take this literally (not sure it can be taken any other way), that means, if we were to follow the Bible, the Westboro Baptist Church should change their slogan to:
"MAN ON MAN HOMOSEXUALITY IS WRONG"
So all these people following the Bible, stating homosexuality is wrong, are they themselves, wrong.

This thread is still going on ? Then allow me to share the proof that gay marriage is perfectly fine using science. And all I need is two cups of water:

Cup of water A is the same as cup of water B, and they join perfectly if I put them together. So nature and science are showing it's ok for two bodies of the same type to merge, so gay marriage is perfectly fine.

Anyone taking this guy, or the university supporting him, seriously ever again for scientific experiments should be banned from science IMO as they clearly have no idea what science really is.

0.o Personally I do not care who marries who. I am not the person getting married, so why should I get bothered if some guy wants to marry another guy or a woman wanting to marry another woman?

Also I have to agree with Chirimorin here.. this "scientific study" is a bit of a farce. If they are trying to be serious they should be barred from conducting science experiments as they really do not know what the heck they are doing.
