My birthday is end of this month. My fathers birthday is ~3 months after. Christmas, birthday, New Year, who knows😅 My fathers father was ~6 months after mine😅😅.

Even people good in math make that mistake. Even I often use fingers to count such problems :D
Somehow we humans suck at differentiating between these. So don't imply that onto yourself.
Anniversaries: Day 0 + 1 Year = 1st Anniversary
and
Repeating occurrences
Day 0 (1st) + 1 Year = 2nd occurance

I mean the actual birthday related part contributes to maybe 50% of the topic(if you show the cake, otherwise more like 20%). Somehow this reminded me of all those guides on how to compose documents
