User reviews do influence my purchases, though how much influence they have can vary. Overwhelmingly positive is nice and all but the game could have a play style or mechanic that is a deal breaker. User reviews can highlight these things and can be very informative, assuming people leave descriptive reviews. Overwhelmingly, or mostly, negative reviews would also definitely make me second guess my decision to purchase a game. I would not simply walk away, but would dig deeper to confirm if this game was not for me. That being said, it would probably only be considered in the first place if it was recommended by a friend, which usually trumps reviews (unless as mentioned before the reviews reveal deal breakers).

And well, i care about Reviews from Friends. But Reviews do not generally have influence on what i buy and what not.

I think the only way to really find out if a game is worth it is to try it. There are plenty of games that aren't even games simply a cash grab. Then there are games which appear to be first attempts and while buggy and maddening to play because of crashes and glitches are still interesting or should I say they definitely take a novel approach. Then there are the ones that people who aren't used to playing those old games leave bad reviews on but are really decent games.

If I remember rightly, the lowest Steam Users' score I've ever seen on a game is 13. Overwhelmingly negative, indeed. P

I've purchased several games with mostly negative reviews. It's not about what other people think... if the game has my interest at all, I'll buy it.
