Put on your YOGSing pants yet?
Hello guys, i have a question:
if I buy today the Yogscast Jingle Jam 2017 bundle paying $ 35 or more, will I only receive the games revealed untill today or will I also receive the games that will be revealed in the following days untill Dec 25th (obviously when they are revealed)?
Comment has been collapsed.
No problem. Just read the description next time.
When you buy a $35 bundle, we'll give ALL of the money to charity, and you'll get new games unlocked through December 25th! Get your bundle early, because supplies are limited. Then check back to see each new gift!

normally these bundles save the best for last,, iirc last year and the year prior, the best games came on the final few days.. Although it's not shaping up all that much for the price atm.. 35 bones for Gmod and Rust.. I'm still pretty hopefully we'll get a few nice games tossed in the bunch..

Too expensive to me :'D I can't buy, but I'm glad that they'll give all money to charity ;3

Does it show the entire bundle already for anyone else?

I can list the rest, but I don't want to spoil the fun for everyone. And I'm not sure why I can see everything already.

There is nothing fun about a blind bundle in which the contents are trickled out day by day and you are subjected to ongoing disappointment. List the whole thing if you have it! Please!

I say go ahead. But your choice either way. I wonder if it was visible for a min and your seeing a cached copy. Hm.. Of the stuff you show. some of it is the same as last year. Stuff I still have unredeemed. I don't think I see anything I'm interested in but I don't recognize all of it.

Yep, I'm also all for the spoiling - with a warning on top -
(am very undecided on this one (leaning on not buying) but by the time when/if enough decent games start showing up to sway me to buy, I'm pretty sure it'll say sold out on these already :( ... so a spoiler would be nice :)

I was thinking just the same. I hope that what we do not see is better.

I'll prepare a chart somewhere in a bit.
Edit: here it is

Well, when writing this I was focused on the games, because I would have to check the DLCs separately due to API and had no time for it. I get 20 games I don't own yet (in spite of my library) with a few amongst them I already found interesting.
While the F2P DLCs aren't new to the Yogscast bundle and you probably don't mean them, I agree that there shouldn't be DLCs for paid base games in there (like in the Codemasters bundle). On the other hand they probably added them, because the publishers wanted them to do it and not offered any other full games as alternative. Should HB left them out then (you don't believe the price was lower then, do you)?
So for the cost-benefit-ratio I'd only take full games in account. The DLCs are a bonus. I'll save them or trade/give them away. In this case, HB can't hardly blame you for trading.^^
And: it's for charity.
Comment has been collapsed.
That's right, they have given DLCs without base games, but they have been free games (or known that they would be, like Battlerite last year).
Charity is just the nice part of the bundle, but how many will buy the base game by not being included? That is no longer charity, is a developer that seeks to find sales in an act that, should be, supportive. Or HB itself attracting sales for its store.
The clear example is Paradox and its abusive DLCs. How is it possible that the added content cost three times the base game? And neither include it?
Pure added garbage that does not provide any value, free games that have been given away by HB itself and, for more inri, repeated from last year. This is the Yogscast that we have this year, and we deserve it, because we are idiots.
Before supporting this tease, and these regrettable practices of not adding the base games, I directly donate the amount that seems to me to charity. In any case, in this same poll, 4% pay only for charitable support, and almost half don't pay for being expensive or waiting for what they add.

Don't know if I understood you there correctly, but do you really think someone buys the game directly, only because he got a DLC for it? Maybe those who don't even use price comparisons, but that's the open market, isn't it?
I agree with you on Paradox' pricing/DLC politics.
Before supporting this tease, and these regrettable practices of not adding the base games, I directly donate the amount that seems to me to charity. In any case, in this same poll, 4% pay only for charitable support, and almost half don't pay for being expensive or waiting for what they add.
The poll answers aren't exclusive. "Who needs an advent calendar when you can have a bundle calendar? Buy." is also positive. I voted for "I can't wait to start yoggin'. Blind (day 1) buy!", because for me it means that I get a few decent games, some for trading/gifting and for charity at the same time. So it's a great combination of gaming and charity. Though I can't claim the donations in my income tax return.
This also doesn't mean that I wouldn't donate directly. I did that, I still do it and will do it again - independent of my HB charity purchases.
But since you probably got my first statement wrong (I meant "HB did very well" from my point of view), I'll add that.

Yogscast lists it at $600+, Humble Bundle at $847. I assume Humble Bundle considers prices for the non Steam items too.
(You're welcome! ^^)

That was a quick and dirty chart for people to see what they own already. I don't plan on maintaining it, since we have the current thread for this.
To answer your question: It depends on how you see it.
Dungeon of the Endless was bundled once (in Humble Monthly #8 (June 2016)), but that version is the. Dungeon of the Endless - Crystal Edition.
However, the key provided in this bundle is for Dungeon of the Endless™ - Pixel Edition.
Now comes the question again: since Crystal contains what Pixel offers and some more, should we consider Pixel as "already bundled once" despite it not being bundled as such (with that specific sub id)?
The chart automatically sees it as 0 since these are 2 different products, I manually changed it to 1 for this thread.
Comment has been collapsed.
The chart info comes from ITAD, and ITAD now knows about this bundle, and Dungeon of the Endless being in it, so in a chart made "today" it reports 1x bundled "incorrectly". However, the more extensive Crystal Edition of this game has been bundled before. This is the second time this game is bundled. As such, on https://barter.vg/i/1986/ for example you can see the game as bundled twice (June 2016 Monthly & here).
=> a previously bundled count of 1 is correct :D

Ohhhh... with Humble Bundle it's really tricky.
I wouldn't be surprised if they included only the 4 DLCs and not the base game. Full troll mode :D
The picture is indeed from the Deluxe version, as you correctly noticed, but it has that pink DLC icon on the top right and it also says "DLC" in the title of the item.
I guess we'll wait and see based on what SubIds are provided.

Yeah, it says "DLC" not "+ DLC" or "and DLC", so that's what it is, just the DLC but no base game.
And if it was the Deluxe edition, it would more than likely say that and not have the DLC icon.

Fully agree. This is not a promotional bundle I'll be getting.
Previous years haven't been too bad, from what I can see.
This one is just not for me, especially at that price point... Charity or not.
Crap marketing (see points below) FTR (For The Ruin)
"justseedy
some good games there but shame on the people giving only dlc in hopes of getting people to buy full games such as the dlc for the nascar thing looked it up $49.99 - so what's the point of adding in this dlc then?
over all - most of the dlc comes form games you don't get and are not free = pointless promotion
some games are free in past = not so good
some good games = not free
non steam stuff = do not care for"

Your welcome.
I liked it and thought the quote would be "less burried" in comments. :)

I think the bundle is good to be fair. And if not, I'd have stuck by the "it's for charity, so all good" mantra. I just feel a bit dirty for having looked - I did go further and check out the steam pages, lol. Like I say, I wish I hadn't but could not stop myself. I have quite a few already, but expected that, and one or two others look interesting. I would have probably bought it knowing the full bundle up front anyway I guess. The only thing left is if it's a hoax, or is this certain?
Edit: I agree that DLC for games not included is a bit shameless - but perhaps expected given the known ethics (or lack thereof) of some game publishers.

Just looked at the leak... I would have been fine with lesser known indie games if there was at least a good popular title for Christmas.
It wouldn't even have to be something amazing, the current monthly game or the last giveaway would have all been great for that spot.
Personally I'll probably still want to pick it up if I can afford it by the end of the month, but it's just not a good "adventscalendar" bundle.

If the leak is true, this year is even worse than last year. I wonder how they've managed to make it worse every year. Sanctum 2 was just free and nobody played Mirage: Arcane Warfare after the initial youtuber sponsor campaign.

Last year's was less expensive and more interesting, go figure. I know, I know, it's for charity but I'd rather give 35 bucks to a charity on my own than sponsor the rebundle-DLC bundle that's just publishers sponsored to make you buy games by handing out DLCs

Plus when you give yourself, you get the tax-deduction rather than giving it to IGN 🙃👀
