Ah, I had the same problem when I won New Vegas through a giveaway a year ago. Thought this computer could handle it, but turns out it was just a little too far behind the curve. Though I kept it anyways so that I could have it for when I finally upgrade my machine.

It'll be worth having once you get another computer. Just like when I got Knights of the Old Republic from a friend, it was worth playing once I got a new laptop (several years ago).

My sister and her bf have Skyrim on PS3 and were telling me that I should get it on PC due to all the issues on that console. Unless you're desperate to have it immediately, I'd hang on to it til I had the rig to play it on.
