PSV game recommendations

(Disclaimer: I don't know if it's any good on the PSV since I don't have a PSV, but that's probably one of the first games I'd look for if I did.)

If you are willing to get some PSP games (which are backward compatible with the system), look at the Corpse Party series. The newest game will be on Vita, but two previous titles were PSP.

I recently got Oreshika too, which is pretty good, a bit repetitive at the moment but everyone says it's amazing so I'll keep at it.

Personally I didn't like Gravity Daze (Gravity Rush) despite many positive reviews. Same goes for Tearaway.

If you don't already have them on another system, you should also obviously get Hotline Miami, Guacamelee and Fez.

Sorry I can't give you any suggestion though, I didn't own a Vita.

I bought my vita for 3+ years, lots of good games but most are japanese version.
I have played 100+ vita games, here my recommend:

I remember there was a game for PSP called "SOCOM"
I liked strategy games so it was interesting for me
Recommended if you do too

For PS Vita game, you can't go wrong with Persona 4 Golden, it's a must have. The rests are based on your interest.
I personally like JRPG game, so I recommend Conception II, Tales of Heart R, and SAO: Hollow Fragment. Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth is gonna get localized next year, so that's something to be excited too..

The only exclusives that came into my mind is Persona 4 Gold, which is kinda "MUST GET" for Vita owners.

One thing to remind yourself, playing for long hours on Vita is very tiring. The small screen will hurt your eyes, the weight and shape of the console hurt your wrists, and the constant holding the console on eye level will hurt your arm (or hurt your neck if you rest your arm below eye level).

That is why, when buying games for my Vita, I generally will only look for PS-exclusive titles, or games I think I will enjoy in small sessions.

Games like

• Disgaea franchise. The gameplay is stage-based, you can clear each stage in minutes.
• Hatsune Miku Project Diva franchise, if she's your type.
• Dynasty Warriors / Samurai Warriors franchise, each stage last around 15-30 minutes. There is a Vita-exclusive Dynasty Warriors NEXT that utilizes the Vita's touchscreen and motion sensor into the gameplay. However, the game itself is pretty average IMO.

I wouldn't recommend open world games like Borderlands 2. This type of game is better played on PC or TV. I wouldn't recommend getting AAA ports too unless it is an exclusive title, since AAA ports are better played on PC/TV as well.

Danganronpa (A must have VN. You own a Vita, you have to play this game)

Corpse Party (Latest one comes out next week, one of the best)
Steins;Gate (Another must have VN)
Disgaea (Fun time killer)
Zero Escape (ZE:3 in the works, fan of original, get this game)
Muramasa Rebirth (Fast paced fluid 2D hack and slash)
WTIDTDTML (Dungeon ecosystem)

(No need for indies. The majority are available on steam anyways).

If you like VNs in general, Danganronpa series is good. Haven't played it in Vita though.

Erm all the Hyperdimension nepnep games that are on PSV and that's a lot more then we have on PC ;)

Tearaway it is so great. It was designed for the Vita and that shows. It is different from anything else and so, so beautiful.
Uncharted is also worth playing. Nice grafics and kind of Tomb Raider for Vita.
