The Last Remnant- 75%off at Gamersgate

if you like JRPG's check it out. Its a bit challenging, and kinda unforgiving if you send a unit to attack the wrong group. It has dynamic scaling of difficulty. But even through all the rage and difficulty, its a great game, and loads of fun.

If you hate Jrpg story lines, or turn based combat, don't spend your money on this title.

Bumping a 4 month old thread because I see no reason to start a new one.

Does anyone know how often this goes on sale? I wasn't paying attention & I missed the 75% + 30% voucher sale off on gmg last week or whatever it was.
I really want the game, and like many others I want to get it for as cheap as I can.
I'm curious as to if someone has seen it on gmg for this price before & I should wait for it to pop up again or if I should just buy it now at it's normal sale price.

I'm currently playing this and a give a warning: the difficulty of this game is so awesome! Normally I'm raging if something is unfair but here I can't stop laughing. It's so fucking ridiculous!
The following describes a boss fight in the main story! You fight 2 bosses with 4 support "creeps", turn based

The bosses immediatly start with an ulti and you must not heal yourself for the first round, so you are on 50% hp before the real fight starts
You die to the creeps because there are 1,5 more enemies than your armys and those creeps do more damage than a boss, in fact there are "boss fights" in this game, which consists of 4 creeps and no boss
If you lucky bastard survived this round and heal up and maybe killed all creeps there are still the 2 bosses left, they have like 500000 hp together and you do 12000 damage per round
You have a boss down to low life => the other one gets an extra round and heals up 100000 hp (happens twice)
You finally killed boss 1 after 30 minutes
Boss 2 now attacks 5x per round and kills 2 armys
After that it gets an extra round and takes control of you main army
You are dead

Yes I'm mad.

edit: took 49 minutes to take out this boss, the game is ridiculous and awsome at the same time.

The game is can be insanely difficult. You must check your Battle Rank often, because more Battle Rank means more difficulty. So, to avoid gain Battle Ranks don't battle too much enemies at the same time too often.

There is no easy mode, just farm a bit or try it again. There is also a shitload of sidequests. (probably more than FFXIII) Also it's not completly unsolveable like some bosses in FFX (dark aeons). It's hard, but life is no pony farm :D

:O. Will do. I'm just really looking for a rich, detailed and expansive world that I could get lost in with a great story. Hopefully this game brings that.

You cannot explore the world map (much like FFX with the airship). However, there a lot of cities and dungeons that have much things to explore, and some of this cities/dungeons are missable, so you must have a keen eye. I guess this game will bring what you seek.

I already have 50 hours in it, so you should be ok. The story isn't the <instert best RPG story here>, but solid and makes sense. I like it.
