In what order would you show the first 6 Star Wars Movies to someone who has never seen them before?

View Results
4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, because that's the order I saw them in and therefore the only right way!
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, because chronological order rulez
completely different one because fuck the world (also I hate Star Wars)

Cracked has an article on this subject. :p

4-5-2-3-6. 2 & 3 can be skipped here (thus you can avoid the awkward moment when Anakin tells the camera how much he loves "her" when his wife stands next to him), but they do actually give a bit more backstory to what's going on in 6, and by showing them in that order, 2 & 3 won't spoil 5.

i was in favor of Macheta order until not long ago
now, after seeing Ep7, i say skip 1 2 3 completely. no need for the story. and someone should made a clip of the relevant parts from 2+3 that are slightly important. that would take about 20 minutes i guess. without all the boring stuff.

just my cup of jawwa

Without spoiling anything, it really did feel like Episode 7 tried to distance itself from the prequels, so yeah, you're right about them being even more skippable these days.

Episode 1-3 made the Star Wars universe a bit bigger (I don't know how much this was built upon previous works, like the novels and such, as I've not read anything like that), but Episode 7 made references to some of the worldbuilding that was seen in episode 1-3. But it was nothing that you had to have seen those movies to understand though.

My personal opinion is to see 4,5,6 first. if you don't really know anything about the plot or some dram in the family. and then 1,2,3. I saw 1,2,3 first and missed awesome moments of plot twists in 4,5,6 that I was wondering what was the point of that story.. lol

For I-III watch this instead. It's called the "phantom edit" and it edits out all the crap. It's also only 2 hours long :)

IV, V, VI, I, II, III, VII, VIII, IX It's the order it was made in to be watch just like all books don't start the story at the beginning the dance about place to place. Watching second time through 1-9 would be alright thou
