I am but a poor peasant who grew up in the slums of Capital city. My grandfather was a gardener in the Royal gardens, my father become a guard and even met the mayor on one occasion. It has always been a dream of mine to run my own item shop, I currently run a small stall for someone. If I had my own shop maybe I could pull my family out of the slums and we could even have a small cottage outside the city. I know it is a lot to ask but please consider my request.

I first play the Recettear demo about 6 years ago, and it really satisfied this itch I never knew I had for item shop games. Unfortunately, there are very few, if any, that try to tackle the same mechanics in a similar way. For instance, I have tried Moonlighter, but unlike Recettear, it feels its main focus is on the dungeon exploration instead of the item shop mechanics; having no deadline made it so that I never felt like I needed to optimize my item shop, not that there was much to optimize. I hope I can help Recette pay off her father's debt. Capitalism, ho!

Santa's coming to town, and he's bringing a full sleigh. He’s got not one, not two, but FIVE COPIES of a very special game that I love very much: Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale
However, as we all remember from childhood, Santa won't bring you something if you don't ask, so to have a chance to win this game, you’re going to have to write a letter to the big man himself.

Your letter must start with “Dear Santa” and end by saying who it’s from (postscripts optional).
Your letter must include a request for Santa. Said request may or may not directly refer to the game, but is preferably relevant or causal to it in some way.
