Not really Minecraft, its a more Metroidvania style of game.
I wont say which game is better, but personally, i prefer Terraria (more action oriented than building, in minecraft you get a sword, a bow, and thats it).
And even thou it doesnt have dev support (thou it will get a mayor update some time soon) Minecraft doesnt add that much in each of its updates (thou it does have a better modding community for lots of random stuff).
