That's definitely GabeN, not much of a doubt there.
About the tentacles, pretty sure they weren't there yesterday and the TV seems to be talking about them. Also the bunny was directly under the spotlight, the client was paying instead of leaving the store, and might also be slightly later judging by the sky. The story is advancing.
I love the piece, it's frigging beautifully done.

Wait, so the bunny came from the vending machine? That's weird.
Reminds me of an SCP vending machine that dispensed whatever it felt like, it just picked some random item from somewhere in the multiverse as long as it technically was a packaged product.

Oh, so you've never read the SCP wiki. Welp, enjoy the deep dive, it's one of those wikis where it seems like you never reach the bottom, specially because it takes full advantage of the format.
Only things I know that can beat it when it comes to sinking hours into what was supposed to be a visit to read a single article are Wikipedia proper and TV Tropes.

The piece of art reminds me of Japan.
The tentacles probably lead to Ninja Turtle sewers.

Oh, cool, I didn't notice that the animation had changed! It also got darker. Here are the title screen animations so far:
11/26 title screen video
11/27 title screen video
11/28 title screen video
11/29 title screen video
11/30 title screen video
12/01 title screen video

Today is 11/28 (Steam's sale days start at 1PM Eastern Time; the days in my post above are referring to the post-1PM time). You didn't miss it!
If I missed anything, it was an 11/25 video, but I think it started on the 26th, and today is only day 3.

Oh wow I didn't notice the art changing, that's neat!

That tree ressembles one of the Plains of Eidelon night bosses too, from Warframe.

Sorry, I added the title video.
Cool coincidence - the voice actor who plays Sekiro has been my friend since childhood and was the best man at my wedding! :) It was so cool to see him land this lead role, and now to see his character featured on the Steam sale front page!

So, basically, something awful is going on, but GabeN is doing fine. I'm curious about where this is all going.

So, who are those generic heroes at the store entrance?

Yep, checked screenshots, and at least the girl looks the same. That's literally the first time I've heard of this game (apparently I'm really good at ignoring roguelike stuff).

Return of the Obra Dinn was released in 2018 though.

Hahaha, awesome theory :D
Edit: The Sinking City was the first game I thought of when I saw the tentacles as well, but I quickly dismissed it since it's an EGS exclusive. However if your theory is correct then it makes complete sense.

Fear not, for Kungfujoe is our hero! He is keeping links to all images elsewhere in this thread

....inside the "Autumn Sale" shop. Am I going crazy?
And where are those tentacles going anyway?
