What content are you interested in?
Fun stuff ?
You know ... nowadays youtube is either you watch what is meta , you watch what is popular , or you watch what is fun ...
Its all based on personal preference .
There is no magical formula to be sucessfull there , as pretty much ANY popular youtuber will tell you .
Its all bout getting lucky , noticed and getting a fan base based on your personality .
Cause the most important thing for me is the personality of the people i watch there
You can make SICK 10/10 videos that millions of people watch , and yet if i find your personallity not fitting i will just not watch your videos .
Take pewdiepie for example ... guy is HUGE ... i cannot stand him cause its obvious he is faking almost all his stuff nowadays .
I used to watch his stuff when he started , but now its just garbage .
So TLDR , Friendly advice ... if u wana make some MONEY out of that thing ...go stream on twitch , its much easier .
If you make it for fun tho , just do what you like ... what you want to do.
Thats the best way to success , if ppl enjoy watching what YOU like to do ... then you may get some small fanbase

I see what you're saying. Guess I'll just stick to doing what I'm doing then, I would stream but I don't have all the right equipment for that just now and I'm trying to be helpful with my videos or just maybe just hopefully make someone laugh every now and again. :)

Depends on what you want. Longplays are still way too few, especially when it comes to helping out people with gameplay on the highest difficulties in some games (where rules may change). Or longplays where the story content is properly represented, meaning doing a skipless 100% play through (which naturally means quite a bit of knowledge about the game).
But if you want money, then you nowadays either try to be another comedian reviewer, a let's player reviewer, a speedrunner, or just jump the bandwagon and hope to snag a few people streaming CS, LoL, Dota2, HS. (Or be desperate and stream the newest AAA releases, hoping to catch the attention for the 2-15 days they can generate any kind of interest before people move back to CS, LoL, Dota2, or HS). Also, do that on Twitch. Less money but at least easier to get to the point where it gives money.

Well I'm currently doing a longplay on The Golden Compass. Thought a series about Removed Steam Games sounded like something original. I'm not skipping any of the cutscenes or anything else for that matter either.
As for comedy, I don't want to do anything forced when it comes to that, I just enjoy trolling on games by doing different voices, in fact it's usually friends recordings I use for videos of the sort as I'm not normally recording when it happens. Where as new AAA games, I rarely buy into them unless I feel they're at risk of being removed or I've been waiting on it for years or whatever, I will try and fit in what I can though. Appreciate the tips. :)

I don't watch much gaming related content on Youtube, but I can say this much. When I do watch something, it's typically based on the personality of the person providing the content. Humor, tone of voice, etc etc, all play a role on whether or not I watch a video in full, and decide to watch more. So with that said, just do what you want to do, be yourself, and people similar to you should be drawn to your videos.

I think that's the same with myself and the majority of responses so far. I mean I watch quite a lot of gaming related content from many people, mainly those that are CS based but many others as well. It's always been personality that's drawn me in. Appreciate the advice though. :)

For me it's 40% creator and 60% content. But not just a single category of content.
hope I forgot none

If this isn't allowed, feel free to tell me and remove this thread as I don't want to break any rules. I was just hoping for some feedback on what content I should focus on as I've been doing a bit of everything listed on my channel thus far.
Appreciate any advice, feedback or suggestions. :)
