Here we go, I'll start.

Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark (2010) - This movie is a joke. At first it's interesting, then it's boring and then it's just funny/pathetic. And they put it in a "horror" genre. Words are not sufficient. Nosferatu is turning in his grave. 3/10

The Butler. I liked it. It has some top notch acting and the story is pretty, although sad sometimes.

And i rewatched The assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford. This is one of my all time favorite movies. At least one of the best movies of the 2k years.

It's been a while since my last post here so here we go:

Big Fish (2003) - Pretty good movie but very boring at times. 7/10

Hostel: Part 2 (2007) - As good as the first one. Not for everyone though. 7/10

The Smurfs 2 (2013) - Very good, cute and funny movie. As good as the first one. Recommended. 8/10

Nightfall (2012) - Amazing Asian crime thriller with great plot and emotional content. Strongly recommended. 9/10

Motorway (2012) - Terrible Asian flick. Low budget take on Fast and Furious. Waste of time. 3/10

Gangster Squad (2013) - Very good gangster movie. Lots of action, great atmosphere and so on. 8/10

The Big Hit (1998) - Very funny comedy. Crazy and stupid. But funny. 8/10

The Rise (2012) - Very good British movie about revenge. Not your typical, violent way though. 8/10

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013) - Very nice and pretty original comedy. 8/10

Penthouse North (2013) - Pretty weak movie about a blind woman being held captive in her own home. 4/10

Tommy (2014) - Very average crime thriller. Could have been very good. They just made it wrong. It had potential. 5/10

Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite (2013) - Very nice Lego movie. 7/10

Any Given Sunday (1999) - Good movie about football but extremely boring to someone who's not a fan of this sport. 7/10

Elysium (2013) - Excellent movie from the director of District 9. I absolutely loved every bit of it. One of the best science fiction flick of the last few years. 10/10

Went to a genuine drive in theater last night with my girl and saw two movies for $10 each person ($20 total).
22 Jump Street which was awful and A Million Ways to Die in the West which was just HILARIOUS.

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer

I had it on my queue for way too long and it's got a 88% on Rotten Tomatoes so I gave it a shot. It's an effectively chilling profile of a killer. A 1986 film based on the life of Henry Lee Lucas.

The last movie I saw was actually The Fault in Our Stars. I splurge once in a while (considering I saw Maleficient a week or two before, despite being a bit ill).

Last night I saw Yeti: Curse of the Snow Demon on TV. Man, it was absolutely horrible. It's so bad it's actually funny - for a horror movie. One of the funniest things (again, it's supposed to be a damn horror movie) in this is the CGI monster, which looks nothing like the close up, Uruk-Hai looka-like Yeti.

22 Jump Street - an OK summer movie. I'm pretty sure it appealed more to Americans than to anyone else lol. The first one is miles better
though.

  • Nosferatu (1922) - Doesn't stand the test of time, not really too different from other german expressionist works, nor is it anything special in that category. Don't get how this is a masterpiece; if anything, Murnau's Sunrise should be the more known.
  • Shadow of the Vampire - Holy shit, this caught me off guard. NOT a stupid black comedy, watch it.
  • Silent Hill: Revelations - Go away.
  • Red Dawn - Boring, and overly patriotic. It lost me with assuming every mexican border jumper is a soviet spy. Not fucking kidding there.
  • Princess And The Frog - Okay, so how is The Incredibles a classic and not this? Awesome one, should be known more. Nice way to kick away all tropes within Disney movies at once.
  • Grosse Pointe Blank - alright. I enjoyed it, although nothing too special.
  • Pawn Shop Chronicles - Paul Walker has a bad trip in which the car he's sitting on top of is catching fire. Aside from that rather ironic scene, it's mediocre. Fuck's sake, someone give Brendan Fraser a good role already.
  • Sideways - Actually lives up to its hype and all. Neat little meditation on mid-life crisis.
  • Beasts of the Southern Wild - Holy shit, everyone see this one NOW
  • George Washington (2000) - Fantastic indie film. Some beautiful quotes in there.
  • The Lego Movie - yeah it's great.
  • Holy Motors - So an actor playing a "sewer monster" bites off two of a reporter's fingers, licks Eva Mendes' armpit and then takes her down to the sewer to cover up her body and then cuddle up next to her naked and with a foot long boner. I don't even know what the fuck, but the scary thing is that otherwise I liked it, and have no clear idea of what it was about. Watch it if you like Eraserhead or arthouse films in general.
  • Amour -

Well shit. That was not a good idea to close last week with that film. My soul is bleeding.

Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire (2005) - Better than the third one but a little worse than the first one and the second one. Good watch. 8/10

Twenty8k (2012) - Not a very good movie. Boring, predictable, the acting wasn't good and so on. Not worth watching. 4/10

Well, i had to see it again. Two towers and return of the King. The same day.......
