does anyone know this game?

i forgot the name of a game that is kind of old, it was some kind of combination between castlevania and ghost and ghouls, you would run around dungeons with a chain like whip and would loose your armor if you get hit, i also remmeber that you could buy stuff from an old man

tried looking for old castlevania clones there's only one called "rusty" but the main character is a girl. The other clones i found are pretty new, sorry.

Got it, the name is Black Tiger, Made by Capcom, Darn.. I was getting it wrong, I did remember it was a black feline, but the first thing that came to my mind was a Panther, that was wrong, I had to retrace myself back to find the name.

Are you sure it's not Haunted Castle? The predecesor to Castlevania?
